Problem with Colback when he tries to get "stuck in" is that it's mostly a chase of a shadow or a foul as he's not dynamic enough to make a well timed strong tackle.

IF i knew that we're going to sign Willems in january then i think i would be prepared to wait. I desperately think we do need one now though, and i was impressed with Guerreiro in the Euros i must say. Naah wait for Willems for me like A little bit stronger from what i've seen of them, and that left foot with Mitro/Gini/SDJ in the box...

Mbemba has to start as a CB, anything else would be plain stupid, especially against Arsenal when we need his pace there. It worked well at OT but we were defending really deep for most of the game, plus Mbemba was the best choice available, especially against Depay.

What i also like is that we're signing young and technical football players. Instead of non hungry has beens.

Even though McClaren was far from my 1st choice it feels absolutely lovely to have a manager (coach) with some kind of ability, one that seems to be a good person and professional as well. Combined with a coaching setup that seems to know what they are doing. What a difference this makes. At least some kind of hope and excitement now.

If i had to decide one position to strengthen before tuesday it would be a LB. Ideally i'd want Willems but he's injured. Wouldn't complain too much if we went for that Guerreiro either tbh. Not sure why i'm posting this as we're probably done for now.

Our next 3 signings whenever they happen have to be a LB, CB and a CM. IF we keep all of our current players that is. Quality before quantity.

Mbemba has to start at CB and Janmaat at RB. I don't wanna have two slow CB's against Arsenal. Would be a bit surprised and disappointed if McClaren didn't drop Taylor despite having a decent game against Man U.
