if any of them has some sort of movement it would make a vast difference to the side. given his limitations ryan taylor probably has the best movement of all our available wide players. Not including Santon in this i assume?

Agree with this, even though our wingers and fullbacks (except Santon) have the habit of loosing possession way too easily, their movement and end product is poor generally as well. But we certainly would still do better than we are now with these players and some good coaching. I remember us playing really well against ManU in the 1st half (for a decent period) as well, spraying the ball around very nicely. That's what we should aim for.

Not gonna see the best of him until we have some good wingers with some movement, and Pardew ordering him to go forward a little bit more, the space between our attack and midfield is way too big to get the best out of his quality passing. I think that our poor wingers is a big reason that he can't go forward enough.

The short periods we've tried to play the fucking ball on the deck, that's when we have been at our best. Too bad our managing atm and wingers + Simpson are shit!

Santon who's a fullback has twice the footballing ability and vision compared to these headless chicken clowns.

It seems like we're only gonna "afford" to buy one player this window, so i doubt that we'll get the quality LB we want and move Santon to RB. With a tight and unambitious budget i would try and get rid of Simpson and use the cash to get Nathaniel Clyne in instead for about the same money. But i guess that wont happen anyway, just a wishful thought without spending from our original budget but still making our team stronger by replacing Simpson.

It's gonna be a long month of frustration and failure without doubt. Thank fuck im going to Mexico in a month, might be the best medicine to at least try and not think about it too much.
