Milner Appiah If you are going to play 4 in midfield with tuncay as an attacking midfielder then i do feel that Appiah will have some running to do

Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Ikon wonderland! (Although its a good dream) That team would not be impossible imo Not IF Sam gets a big transferkitty. Easier getting Fernandes than Arteta. I simply would love to see that midfield for the toon. Some people here are mentioning players like Berbatov and Diego. THAT is dreaming too much And someone like Diego would not be suited to play in a 4-4-2 system. Not in the premiership anyway. And how many have seen him play more than once or twice? He would fit in in a different system though. But he's out of our reach simply. And would cost a bomb. Appiah and Fernandes in the middle could be immense. I really like Fernandes. Class player and will probably get better and better.

Zigic? i dont want him. Would be quite expensive and iwould rather go for Viduka. Then after that i think we should look more at midfielders and defenders (especially) Berbatov? Are you kidding me? What do some people believe when they mention some players like many does here at this forum...

He's good, and would be REALLY expensive. Short little fella, we were linked with him under Souness when we played them in the UEFA cup if i dont remember it wrong, Quite creative, good passer as many other portuguese players. But not one for us, too expensive and is being linked with arsenal from what i have heard. I have not seen him much.

I think he'd struggle with the pace of the Premiership tbh. Totally agree. And it's suicide to play him in a 442 if thats what Sam is planning to do with Viduka if he signs

who? He's a DM and plays for Lille. I think he's about 23-24 years old. Has a great engine and good breaking up attacks. But he's also good on the ball and has a quite good passing. Has the energy of a duracell rabbit. Would cost quite much, but i believe that £8-9m could be enough. Parker out and him in. Twice the player imo.. If we could attract him, but worth a shot imo.. Laryea Kingston is practically an identical type of player, and might indeed be just as good. He would cost around £500,000. I say we go for him instead. The only difference between the two is the exposure Makoun has received at Lille. Well i have not seen Kingston play at all. If he's that good as you say then i really hope we get him. Would be a bargain for £500 000 if he is THAT GOOD. How comes that he plays for Hearts?

One player i would love to have in our midfield is Jean Makoun. Hes a little bit short though, but a great player..

For £7-8m that is being said in the newspapers, i would gladly sell him and get the money from him added to the transferkitty and go for a better player..

I may be wrong, but from what i know he hasn't exactly played much as a striker. When he came to AIK here in sweden everbody was raving on about him, He was really good for Panathinakois when they were in the CL and played against Real Madrid. But then it went down for him And he went to AIK, and he did quite well there in the end before he left, he had a tough start and got alot of stick, But after that he grew asa player, And i have no idea how he's been doing lately. The last i saw from him was in the WC mostly coming on as a sub. I think he MIGHT be a good squad player. But i doubt that he's good enough to be a first team regular, but as i said i dont know how he has been playing this season.. But if you look at how little he might cost then he's a much better backup than Pattison. (i think he played for another team before AIK)
