Me too. I think Miley has been severely underrated by our own fans this season, he's looked very composed in the games I've seen, and I'm looking forward to seeing Ramsey starting tonight.

Owen will always be the biggest cunt for me. He never wanted to be here, and was always yearning for Liverpool even while wearing our shirt. Isak was fine here until he got the opportunity to make more money and move to a club which is winning a lot more. He went about it in a cunt's way, but that seems to be the way with modern football these days when agents are involved. I'm not so pissed at him going to Liverpool now, because I'm hoping they both fail together. Kill two birds with one stone.

He is a crafty bugger so you might be right about him trying to tamp down the atmosphere, but he definitely had a soft spot for us as well. Maybe because of his association with Robson, but tbh, he's a flamboyant personality who would really love to tap into a football mad city. He mentioned us even when he was at the height of his career. Think he said that he would relish the challenge of reviving a fallen giant like Newcastle or Villa ( think that was the other club he used as an example). I don't like his football these days, but he would have been a great fit for us at one time.

Agree. What sold me on him after some initial doubt was his delivery, he can whip them into real danger areas if the supporting players are making the right runs. He's got a decent strike on him as well. I sometimes think the "Howe will make him into a better player" is overplayed a bit, but he does know how to get a player to use his attributes well. If he can get Elanga just to play his game without fear, he'll become the player he was last season.

Yep. If we are going to talk about alternatives, then we need to stop mentioning Semenyo who was happy to sign a new contract with Bournemouth, and Kudus who wanted to go to Spurs.

Tbh, he's scoring way more already than he's entitled to. Basically scoring off a single chance which comes his way in 90 mins. I think he's doing his job as a forward, it's the wingers and midfielders who aren't supporting properly, and I don't think Murphy is the answer either, since his main role is providing crosses. It's Gordon and Elanga who should be feeding off his lay offs.

This for me as well. I get it that we have gone on long streaks of wins in the past, and probably will again. But until then, you can only comment on what you are seeing.

Yeah I agree with that, bad luck in that regard. But it does feel like Alex Murphy isn't really up to it at this level so you have to question his future here.

Just my personal opinion, but I think Miley is good enough now to be starting games when rotation is needed.
