Not our fault either mate, it's back page headlines every day. Pretty hard to avoid it.
-
I watched some of that Kieran McGuire guest piece on Loaded Mag and he said we had to sign off agreements that we wouldn't take matters to independent courts and would agree to internal arbitration only if we wanted the takeover to go ahead. So at this point that is why we have not waded in I would have thought.
-
I hope we do. Chelsea have had no problem taking the piss out current PSR restrictions, and they got a curtsey and "As you please!" from the PL while they did it.
-
Hopefully the PSR rules will get amended or dumped sooner rather than later. Then we can keep leadership team players like Burn, Longstaff and Murphy as valuable squad members while still having the ability to sign top class players for the first team.
-
Leadership team status just seems to be awarded to anyone who wants to stay here regardless of whether they are good enough. We were trying to find roles for Matt Ritchie and Paul Dummett at one point.
-
Read it this morning. He's put out some good articles about us being hamstrung deliberately by the PL on behalf of cartel clubs tbf.
-
But someone has to pay the bills for those lawyers. £45m plus and counting in legal fees so far. At some point it must surely register at the rest of the lower PL clubs that they are subsidising the position of cartel clubs voluntarily.
-
Don't blame them. There was an internal email within PL circles which specifically mentioned the rules were aimed at Gulf clubs which sort of got brushed aside by the arbitration. Not surprised they feel there is room for a harder kick to the PL balls.
-
Don't think I've actually seen him play in the middle for us, he always seems to be drifting out wide more. I assumed that was just his natural game.
-
Yeah this is the problem, I'm sure he has some genuine promise, but we are still left with the same problem as last season which eventually cost us Europe.
-
I know it's hilarious to watch Spurs lose but a draw would still probably be a better result for us. But only marginally.
-
We had to sell, and it might still turn out to be great business. It will only really die down once we get ourselves a new RW and depending on how much it costs to bring one in.
-
Given our gaps in the squad I don't think it's fair to set our sights any higher than 6th. Don't think we will finish higher than Chelsea given their much deeper squad. They had a joke season last time round and still finished ahead of us and knocked us out of the cup.
-
They did exactly the same thing against us. All the nice football in the world is useless if you are so easy to cut open down the other end.
-
I missed the first half but he's looked a threat in the second. Very direct and could easily have played a part in another goal as well.
-
Yep. Great for us if it stays like this.
-
Set yourself up for that one like.
-
I agree with you in general, but I thought Joelinton was more effective yesterday.
-
Did they finally blow the whistle then?
-
I'm not one who pays that much mind to history tbh. I just look at the team we are playing, and if they aren't very good I am disappointed if we don't beat them.
-
Their passing looks a lot tighter and more slick than ours, but hopefully their packed fixture list will impact them like it did us last season.
-
Villa are doing ok in the champions league so far though.
-
I was a lot more confident of beating Everton away, and after watching it yesterday that was the right call because Everton are abysmal. That said, Brighton aren't pulling up any trees this season, hopefully we'll find our shooting boots by then.
-
Disagree on Everton being much of a threat to the big teams, they looked shit. But agree that we did look better defensively in the last couple of games and that is a positive.
