    Lloyd Kelly

I've seen this comment a few times, TCD was saying in this thread he doesn't look particularly strong in the air. Can't say I've noticed since he's barely played CB so far. But if he is weak in the air, then I would question the point of signing him, since as far as I'm concerned he's a CB not a LB. That said, I thought he got overly criticised last night. He was trying to be positive as a LB, unlike some of his fellow defenders, and he did well enough when he was belatedly shifted to his proper CB position.

    Will Osula

That was very frustrating. The quality of the crossing was also dire, he was always looking for the ball in, but it never arrived. Pretty difficult to judge his finishing on that service.
  3. To give them credit, Wimbledon did defend very well. They always seemed to have a defender there blocking off the spaces even when we did try to pass through them.
  4. Second half that was true. First half we just looked we didn't know what to do.

    Will Osula

Didn't really get any decent crosses to attack but got a couple of efforts in on goal. Put himself about a bit and showed he can get in goal scoring positions if nowt else.
  6. Would agree in principle, but was still disappointed with our lack of initiative when we had the ball. Players just didn't know what to do with the ball even given all the time in the world on it.
  7. Really disappointing how we look totally clueless when presented with a parked bus. Bruno showed the way when he came on by shifting past a couple of players and opening it up somewhat.

    Odysseas Vlachodimos

Looked confident for the few times he was involved. Like how he threw the ball out rapidly after claiming it.
  9. Much better second half with Bruno finally opening up some plays, and Tino switching back to the right. Shows how tame our secondary players are though. Looked clueless at times when presented with a low block.
  10. Got free once and belted the ball into the crowd. Been a spectator for the rest of the game, waiting forlornly for the supply line to get into gear.
  11. Yep. Blindingly obvious in games like this where we have so much of the ball but don't know what to do with it. Schar and Kelly have looked the most aggressive going forward which says something.
  12. Wimbledon defended deep pretty well tbh, not easy to find space, just would like to have seen us try to do more to open them up. Willock seems to look quite lost when he hasn't got space to run into. Almiron was busy but got progressively less threatening as the game went on.
  13. You must have missed him taking four touches before passing the ball 3 yards then.
  14. Pretty timid stuff from the first team wannabes so far.
  15. Loose touch from Osula under pressure, shame was a half chance.
  16. Happy to see it. We need to show that we have other options if Bruno is out of the midfield. Tonali being out is a bit of a kicker though, he is the one you would have wanted to see in the number 6 role.
  17. We must have got the unluckiest draw in an outdated format to get knocked out in the first round last year. It seems virtually impossible to go out in normal circumstances.

    Sean Longstaff

There would definitely be clubs who would buy him as long as he fit within their wage structure. This is where we have to be careful with offering a new contract, because if he goes on a wage that only top clubs will pay, we won't be able to sell him. Just look at how we can't shift the likes of Almiron or Targett as examples of this.
  19. If we can't win a home game against Wimbledon when he doesn't start then we have bigger problems than we think.

    St James' Park

That's the only way we can compete with the cartel clubs for stadium revenue as well. I don't see how it's possible with a revamp of St James.

    St James' Park

I'd love the opportunity to buy a season ticket again. I doubt I'd get one, but I know for a fact I won't get one at St James in the forseeable future.
  22. Would rather he was on the bench. Getting benched for the odd game would be good for his psyche IMO.

    St James' Park

That's also the reason why stadiums have so less atmosphere than previous generations, and that will be the case whether we remain at St James or move IMO.
