It's not paranoia, I just wrote in the Isak thread how they all had some sort of pact not to sell to us in our first season after the PIF buyout. Look at how Man U carried on with the Lingard loan carry on. They got the PL to draft special rules to stop us man, it's in writing.

It might be the case if we get Sesko and Wissa, Howe would prefer to get Isak out of our dressing room so as not to poison the atmosphere. But even if that's his preference, why should we lower the value of Isak for Liverpool's advantage? They are our direct rivals, we shouldn't really be selling to them at all IMO. The PL clubs certainly tried to freeze us out in our first season after the PIF buyout. Let's not pretend we are friends with any of them.

I want Wissa here, he wants to be here and that's a massive plus. But we should only let Isak leave if Liverpool pay over and above market value for Isak. Otherwise no deal.

Of course that would be the dream. But I am looking at worst case scenarios, and for that is him still being at Newcastle and scoring goals with slightly less connection with the fans for a season.

Deal's off. If Isak is in for the Golden Boot then he would have to be a Newcastle player. If he's a Liverpool player I can cheer for Rasmus only if Isak's leg falls off.

We don't have to get behind him like we did in the past, he just needs to do his job for another season then we can let him go. I don't see why Liverpool should benefit from trying to unsettle one of our best players.

If Isak's at Liverpool I will join you in cheering every Rasmus goal which puts him ahead on the striker leader board, you have my word on it.

I hope you are wrong about that. I want us to get Sesko and then tell Liverpool to get bent as well. PIF need to show their hand that we won't accept second class status to anyone.

If the alternative is spending £60m on Watkins which is Amorin's preference, they might try to find a way. They did send out some Vivell character to try and talk Sesko into a move there, they want to do it somehow. Hopefully financial sense prevails and they pull the plug and leave the road clear for us.

I sincerely hope that's the plan. I would be disappointed if PIF allowed Isak to go to one of our rivals under any circumstances let alone one where they are putting in lowball offers.
