  1. I didn't think Nolan did much either, like I said somewhere else we can live with 1 passenger. Barton could make a massive difference to us if he comes back fit and focused on becoming a footballer once again. The thought of a Guthrie, Barton, Routledge and Jonas midfield is almost too lush to dare contemplate. It might not work in every game but I bet we'd win a lot more than we lost.
  2. His goals record isn't the best over his career so it's no real surprise. His hold up play might be more important than we are giving him credit for tbf, but there was always the worry that once we went down to our fourth choice for striker we weren't going to be getting the erm...best. Think in the long term pushing the boat out for Moses or Beckford would have proven more financially sound, but they were probably beyond our budget so can't complain really. Not when we've spent good money this window.
  3. Spot on. Yeah...damn that positive result!
  4. He won't though. Well maybe our board will pay the money to employ someone who will?
  5. Normal service will be resumed on Tuesday evening. There were plenty of TT posters predicting a defeat tonight as well mind. 5-fucking-1 in your face Parky!
  6. What the fuck? Back in the day there was a place called Skunkers
  7. You'd hope so but Hughton comes out with bollocks about playing "A lot of games" and the need to "freshen it up" so he'll probably 'rest' rotate the strikers. It's funny how the likes on Enrique, Colo, Jonas, S.Taylor, etc don't get rested when fit. It should be, if you score you stay in the team until you don't score. Did it escape your notice that he took off his new signing after 60 mins to give Lovenkrands a good crack at it? A lot of managers might have been tempted to leave Best on to get a goal to prove their judgement right.
  8. Saw this on the Coventry fans site earlier today funnily enough
  9. Don't you think Hughton deserves some credit for bringing in some players with pace to move us forward from here though? I would say that the addition of Routledge on the right has given us a whole new dimension. It took balls to play all six of his new signings as well, injuries or not.
  10. Massive result that, at just the right time. We've thrown down the gauntlet to our promotion rivals tonight. Have some of that you bastards!
  11. Good performance on the whole by his new signings. The addition of pace and width really made a difference and brought out the best in the players already here as well. Hughton's transfer dealings have been impressive on a tight budget on this evidence.
  12. A thread about why we are playing on a Friday and it's already reached two pages sad bastards
  13. Even more to the point we don't need to play two DM's which is what we've done at times this season.
  14. He needed to. He has been poor in last few games and I was starting to doubt him, others were too. Fair play to him for the goals so far today. Hope for more! Done quite well upfront with two recently though hasnt he. When you consider he scored two against west brom also. Seems like going upfront on his own might be limiting him more than we realise. Be interesting to hear how Best's movement and presence etc has assisted him (if it has). Moncur seems to think he's held the ball up well, must be bringing other players in well.
  15. Don't think they've been able to handle him at all. Fair play to him for being in the right place to get the goals as well.
  16. Try Real Radio mate. The commentators might mske you cringe at times but they bloody enjoy the game.
  17. The football is scinitillating tbh. The commentator is literally cumming in his pants at our pace and power!!!
