Think it was Mick Martin on the TF podcast said four years on and we are basically back where we started as far as infrastructure goes. He's not wrong there, at least back then we had Amanda and Mehrdad.
-
He's a lot better with his feet and distribution. Given the way we play, that might make a massive difference.
-
Isak level finishing is pretty rare. There's a reason why Arsenal and now Liverpool have lusted after him. His shooting is outrageously good.
-
Would take that. But if we choose to sell Isak then Wissa and Sesko please. Didn't see that on the options list.
-
Chevalier looked mint though. Would have taken him all day long, but this time we were up against a French superclub.
-
When we signed those players we had more PSR headroom. It's as simple as that. It's a double edged sword, our success with those players has meant cartel clubs are jumping in more readily than back then to compete.
-
Even today Craig Hope has released a video where he's saying if Isak goes it will be on our terms, that's after the Howe press conference. People here are just losing their shit unduly. It's not a great situation, but we still hold him under contract no matter what Liverpool fans, agents or Romano might tell the world.
-
No he wouldn't. If you'd said 10% might have been reasonable.
-
So he's good at everything except finishing.
-
I'd take him over Ollie Watkins any day of the week. So would Sir Jim Ratshit I think, I think he might go over Amorin's head and pitch in for him now we've made our move.
-
Tbf we don't need Romano to tell us foreign players would prefer to go to Man U if all else is equal. I already said they have more pull globally because of their history. Only way we could catch up is with massive spending like Chelsea and Man City did.
-
He said it's a club decision, and presumably that means he's included in it. Reading between the lines, I think he would like to keep Isak ( who wouldn't? ) but if he's determined to leave, then he doesn't want an unhappy player and would rather use the money to sign a top class replacement. Graham Bailey already said that Howe is good mates with Hughes from Liverpool and they would have discussed the move off the record, hence no official bid yet. Of course that might all be speculative shite, but I just don't think Isak leaves unless Howe is on board with it.
-
My reading of it is, while Amorin didn't want a promising striker, he wanted the finished article - Sir Jim Ratshit has probably stepped in and told him in no uncertain terms, "if Newcastle want Sesko then we are buying him and you can take it or leave it you underperforming pleb. We aren't spending £60m on a 30 year old"
-
It does.
-
That must be why he's the only one left we might have a chance of landing.
-
Thank fuck for that.
-
He might just be a bit thick tbf.

Why would I check your posts if I think you are lying? You'd just be lying then as well. Fans of the cartel clubs understandably want to preserve the status quo. It obviously pisses them off when Man City come in and start kicking their arse from down the road. I was not a fan of this outside investment either, but I'm definitely not a fan of pulling up the drawbridge once a few clubs have used the cash to launch themselves into the top tier.
