Isak has been brilliant over the last 18 months. Not as a battering ram striker, maybe more a Loic Remy/Henry style of striker. Wilson has as well tbf, but I think he looks less capable of getting in behind defenders this season, which means he's mainly now holding up play and getting the odd poacher goal if the ball finds it's way to him unmarked. Last few games I've watched Wilson he just seems too easily smothered by defences.

Agree 100%. Keep one of them as a squad player, sell t'other.
-
Wilson looks anonymous to me these days. Yes he will occupy defenders, but he's rarely getting the better of them. At least Isak will get behind them and get in on goal if we can get the ball in early.
-
Agree with this, and it's also the reason why no one has taken the bait yet. Yes he can get goals, he's big and physical, but he's not a particularly skilful player otherwise.
-
I have seen him tussling with defenders, but not to that much effect where it makes a difference. He'll prove a handful but rarely gets free of his marker. Isak just with trickery and speed alone is much more likely to have the beating of his man.

Feels like they are choking a bit aye.
-
He's been available for less than 40% of games during his time as a Newcastle player. I was happy to back him last season, but that's no use to us if Isak is also prone to spells out. Mind I hope he proves me wrong and goes on a goal spree to the end of the season.

Oh well, maybe we can still dream of 5th.
-
They should have scored 3 in this half. Some fabulous approach play with weak final balls or finishes.
-
How the fuck did Luis miss that?
-
Wilson is done IMO, he's not even troubling defenders these days, even when he is fit.
-
Yeah we'd have to sell players, maybe Miggy to Saudi or Wilson to whoever will take him. Ideally we'd buy a striker before they got valued at £30m.
-
Feels like a draw would be the best result for us here. Don't want either side getting 3 points.
-
Agree, West Ham are a smaller club as well so Moyes is a decent fit. Although some of their fans might get pig sick of the football he'll produce since they think West Ham should play attractive football traditionally.
-
If we are talking about 3rd choice strikers, then Gordon is fine for a few games a season but I don't really think he's a striker. What I think we really need is a Jao Pedro type who can share the workload with Isak since I don't think Callum Wilson can be considered a reliable alternative any more since he keeps breaking down.
-
I think I'll take our football and general direction any day over theirs.
-
Since I don't really like West Ham I'd stick with Moyes.
-
Haven't seen that much of Jackson other than him looking like a patchy finisher. Gordon will make great runs, but not sure about the rest of his game. Is he capable of holding the ball up? Does he have a striker's movement when the crosses come in? Can he hit the ball well from a central position? Maybe he can, just haven't seen it yet.
-
Gordon doesn't really look like a striker IMO. He does stretch defences though, so if Wilson isn't fit for the next game, at least he'll offer that.
-
He's the rich man's Alan Pardew, always maintained this back from his Everton days.

Rice is such a good player, can do a bit of everything.
-
Good for us tbh. They need to understand that losing Rice makes them weaker in the long run.

Can see Arsenal finishing above Liverpool which would make me mildly happy.
