On the subject of Milner, did Aston Villa's results improve after his signing? On the whole I think they were doing better before he arrived and I'm still not convinced it will turn out to be a good signing for Villa at £12m.
  2. It's a shame he can't play as hard as he (tries to) look. All bark and no bite last season, let's hope he can show a bit more this time round. He doesn't mind getting stuck in as far as I can see. It isn't really his game but I wouldn't accuse him of not being up for it. He was one of the few to me who looked to actually take some responsibility. Which puts the likes of Owen to shame considering his experience etc. He's not scared of getting stuck in, he's just a bit lightweight. More of a yapping corgi than a rottweiler is what I meant.

Hang on... didn't he notice she was part-Indian until they were engaged or something? Lol blatant "scorned lass sells story for revenge" shenanigans tbf. it could have been her love eggs? or someone elses chopper? Maybe it was a different kind of chopper, i.e. Michael Chopra's dad? Although hold on, that would make her half indian not quarter
  4. Man U fans are showing what they think of Owen by refusing to buy shirts with his name on. http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/137/england/2009/07/07/1368788/michael-owen-shirts-not-selling-at-manchester-united So it's fuck off from us and it's fuck off from them. Got the message Micky?

    Think about it.

She used to look nice but she looks like she's bulimic these days. I suppose if I was forced to I would....

    RIP sale thread.

i just don't see why ? seems we offered what i would consider a fair price. Weren't we making noises about signing M'bia and Veloso all through the window before finally ringing City and the Mackems with those last minute panic bids? The whole exercise was a joke which was only made worse by Kinnear shouting for months beforehand how he was going to hit the January window with mike's backing. it was bollocks from start to finish and the sooner these clowns are out of here the better. I voted for the Malaysians incidentally. Money isn't everything but it's much better to have plenty of it.

If they were meeting the asking price the club would already be sold. We just need to determine what the actual price of the club is, and it's probably changing by the day.

Would publicly lying about the situation to up the price break business law? What has he lied about in this case? I didnt say hed lied. I was just wondering if fibbing about stuff in these circumstances would be illegal, or just considered sharp business practice? I'm pretty sure we have bids in worth £100m...LLambias is just not admitting publicly that the real figure to buy the club is a lot more than that when you include the debt.

Llambiarse is hoping someone will top the current bids via e-mail.
  13. Maybe someone who knows him does and will pass on the messages of hate? Live in hope man. P.S. Michael I know you don't read these forums but just in case you are there, you won't be missed you little turd.

If there's any truth in the story that the Malaysian bid is £80m plus taking on the overdraft of up to £40m that must make them short of what Ashley wants by about £14m. Leaking the info is most likely just an attempt to get the price up a bit further.

There are bids of £100m on the table, but as Ashley is looking to pass on the £34m debt as well it looks like there is still some way to go before Cockney Wanka accepts a bid. More stalling tactics from his mouthpiece Llambiarse.

Yes. Arsenal and Tottenham will surely be devastated to hear Fulham are set to win the race for the Aussie hotshot.

You forgot to add the deal will go through at the end of this month, last month and next month
  18. Been saying this for a while now, teams like Stoke and WBA got promoted out of this cesspit of a division last year, and at this level even our lack of pace won't hurt us. Any decent manager should be able to get us promoted, I suppose that is the only hope that we still have if there is a take over. We might not be able to buy anybody but we won't lose many either.

The longer the sale drags on, the less valuable the club becomes, because if it goes on another month, it's going to wreck the chances of preparing a squad for an immediate return to the Premier. One season in the lower leagues is bad, more than that is a disaster. Every day Ashley clings on for more money it becomes a dead cert that he will end up blowing the sale due to lack of time.

    Obafemi Martins

All three players are saleable assets as they are all relatively young and fit and have some sort of resemblance to modern day athletes. Colo won't fetch the fee we paid but that's because as usual we over-paid. The problem areas for me are the players who don't look like they can last 90 mins of pub football or are too old. These players are on big contracts and have no football ability and legs made of jelly. I leave it to others to work out who they are.
  21. The only thing that Owen can do for England is lower the standard of the team. Capello never liked him before he bombed at Newcastle with his miserable attitude.

This guy is seriously rich. I am trying not to get too excited in case it all turns out to be rubbish, but fucking hell...
  23. Not really. I resent Owen because he came here unwillingly, took the money and the armband and gave fuck all back other than his carefully worded statistics. He didn't want to be here and when our survival needed his goals they didn't come.
  24. I'm sure he will but then I'm also sure an average striker would do well at Man U surrounded by all those good players. Depends what your expectations are. They normally go up when you're playing for Man U. Doing well for them would suggest a player who is significantly contributing to them being a better side, not just getting some tap ins. Even if he scores goals, I can't see him having the impact of a Tevez or Ronaldo in shaping the game's result. He's a cheap stand-by for Man U who will come in handy for a few games here and there. The fact he would rather be a second class citizen there than Captain of Newcastle even before we were relegated says it all really.
