Very good point. For all the moaning about recent performances we didn't really deserve to be out of the CL, and the league cup loss was a heart breaker. We go through in those competitions and everything would look so much better.

I said after the loss against 10 men I was no longer going to put any expectations on us to beat Liverpool. I felt we owed them a hiding after we were robbed at Anfield last season, but we keep finding ways to let them take everything. I hope the players find something in them to get a result but not fair to expect anything given the circumstances.

The defeats against Luton and Forest have been really damaging. Get the expected 6 points from those fixtures and we'd still be in contention for top 4.
