  1. I'm sure Liverpool or Man U fans would happily swap billionaire owners.
  2. Never really got on board with the dislike of either Gini or Sissoko, they were our best players at the time, and they both got moves to CL clubs which kind of backed that up. It wasn't good players that were the problem, it was that we were happy to fill the team with bad ones. We were just a shit club going nowhere at the time.
  3. It's a Saudi problem tbh, if they are happy to get negative feedback, let them get on with it. I'm sure they must have considered the drawbacks as much as the benefits of such an exercise. From a NUFC fan point of view I would just stay away from it, not something I am interested in.
  4. Players would normally understand the money side of it, I doubt they'd hold it against another player for looking after himself. It's the club hiearchy and management who'll want him out more.

    Alexander Isak

I'm really hoping that's how it pans out, must be worth giving Wilson a new contract and hoping he stays fit. Not many teams have two strikers of genuine quality like us, and now I'd be surprised if it didn't deliver CL football again next season.
  6. She seems like a proper trooper like, from what I've heard she's really friendly and bubbly as well. Exactly what you want when you have a player coming over from a different culture, a partner who's supportive and enthusiastic about the whole thing.
  7. Yeah I'm not going to pay another subscription for either of those. You can probably watch both on the I*TV app anyway, I know they cover DAZN.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Four players on our wanted list, problem is none of the deals look that likely. Tierney was probably the most doable, but with the injury to Timber looks like Arsenal will likely pull the plug on that as well unless they really do think he's a permacrock.
  9. I'm curious to watch a game just to see how it's playing out, not sure if it's broadcast on any normal channels though.
  10. I'm not going to watch it, but neither do I have any problem with them playing at St James. You can't have your cake and eat it. They are investing a lot of money in improving the club so not really a surprise that they expect some form of exposure for it. So the answer is no, I don't care.
  11. This will be the game which tells us whether City will be invincible this season. Normally they would pass around our press quite effectively, but I wonder how they will look after losing de Bruyne and Gundogan?
  12. Both clubs have American owners, hopefully they are creaming off all their profits to their own subsidiary companies leaving the football clubs with a nice fat debt to service for the next decade or two.
  13. Fuck me, they make our commentary teams sound like they are watching a chess match.
  14. Not sure how I feel about it tbh. While I'm glad your club doesn't get to cash in on a depreciating asset, I was also quite enjoying Moyes fucking up West Ham's future by attempting to recreate his Everton team in London's east end.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

They might not be missing a trick at all, maybe they know more about his injury situation than we do at Newcastle, and are nervous that a loan deal might not end up in a sale if he gets injured for a lengthy spell. Otherwise a loan deal with an option to buy should be fairly agreeable to them. Probably just dragging it out hoping either we'll panic or someone else will jump in with a straight up cash bid.
  16. Still feels like we owe them one after we get robbed at Anfield last season. That's the one game I want to win above all others in front of our own crowd.
  17. He's just above all that petty stuff IMO. He knows how good he is, and doesn't feel threatened by others. He's obviously got enough belief in himself that he can recognise a club well run, and a manager who deserves respect. The likes of Klopp are frightened at the prospect of competiton because they don't have that level of self assurance.
  18. One thing you do know about Pep is that he'll give us the respect we deserve. None of the pathetic whining and bitching that you hear from the likes of Klopp or Ten Hag.
  19. I was relieved when I found out that Ramsey wasn't playing, not going to lie. He gave us a really torrid time at their place last season, along with Watkins. Villa were dangerous in the first half, but they were always vulnerable playing such a high line, and in the end we could have scored five more.

    St James' Park

The whole point of being at the match is to be part of the atmosphere. I'm sure there'll be people who appreciate the comfort and the nice menus in the private boxes, but for most people just having a seat in an area of the ground which makes some noise is enough.
  21. Still waiting for Chelsea and Liverpool to get to the checkout stage, then we'll pick up our trolley and see what's left.
  22. Digne turned down a move to us before we signed Targett I remember, seems to think he's far better than he is. Good to see him coming down a peg or two.
  23. What's the deal with Carlos anyway? I know he was out injured for most of last season, but I've always wondered if he would come good after we bid daft money for him in our first season after the takeover. He's in his 30's now right? I just remember being really surprised when his club turned down £40m or something like that when we tried to sign him.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

It's why he's been frozen out from training with the first team. At least Hayden was prepared to move in order to get playing time, unfortunately he's a crock these days so there's less interest. Fraser is semi-retired at this point, he'll continue to collect his wages then fuck off back to Scotland and probably buy a pub or something.
  25. Just look at the state of the clubs he's been at and it sums up his career. He specialises in adding to the stench of rotting institutions.
