Miggy's weakness is his one-footedness though, what we are talking about here is the give-and-go aspect. He's very good at that, ASM is not.
-
That's because he doesn't want to give it once he's got it.
-
I know exactly what you mean. I've said it before, even though Maxi is trying to pass more now, you can see the effort is there, but it doesn't come naturally. His first instinct is still to hold the ball first, he's never the type to play a first time return pass for instance. That said, he's such a good player, I don't see us offloading him unless we get a very decent offer. Even with his flaws he's still very dangerous, and can change a game in an instant.

Is there no picture of the full kit out yet? I mean I know people only want to buy the shirt, but I'd still like to see how it's going to look when it's all put together. The sponsor has worked out brilliantly btw, the logo being black and white really makes the whole thing look well put together.
-
Do you think he'd have been given the job otherwise? I'm not saying he's a patsy, but because he hasn't built his reputation at this level yet, he'll be far easier to control than a Conte or a Poch.
-
I'm sure he's probably a decent coach, but he's been given that job specifically because he will be happy to do what he's told. With Chelsea and Liverpool, even though they've had bad seasons, you know they will be gunning for the CL and spend whatever it takes to get there. For Spurs, they will want that as well, but only if they can buy during the sales.

The heatwave is predicted for Thursday-Saturday I think, and yes it will probably be more down south, we might get around 20 degrees here if we are lucky.

I don't think any club under Moyes is a place to play football tbh. His teams are best when they are physical and well organised, the fancy stuff isn't really his thing. That said, he's had a terrible season this time round, so he's due a better one next time round. Moyes teams do tend to yo yo a bit.

Well, there's always the option to talk about potential signings as well, exciting though the bedwetter craic is.
-
Spurs have Ashley vibes these days. They want a manager to be the coach, not rock the boat with transfer demands or talk of ambition. Postecoglu is the equivalent of Pardew for them, an underwhelming appointment, and a bloke who'll be grateful for the opportunity. Although he might be slightly disappointed he didn't get an 8 year contract, but if he comes out in public support of Levy's running of the club, it could be his down the line.

Especially as this it he thread which most will be more eagerly watching than any other over the summer.
-
That's how I read it as well. Didn't see anything which would lead me to think he's leaving, at least not by choice.
-
In answer to the above, we know McTominay will still be there, we can pick him on the way out if all the best deals have gone.
-
We're still waiting for Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea to finish their shopping lists, then we'll pop back in to have a look if there's anything left on the shelves.

Read an interview this weekend, I think it was Fernandinho who was waxing lyrical about Pep's coaching methods. I think it's easy to think he just buys the best players and that's why he wins everything, that piece just reminded me how good he actually is. I will try to dig it up if it's not already been posted.

I agree with the principle, but let's face it, no one gives a toss about the Saudi league anyway.
-
That's right. Not so much to do with how well Liverpool are run as much as it's about their history and standing in the game. Let's not forget, they haven't qualified for the CL, but they will still be a lot of player's choice ahead of us at the moment, and of course they can throw more money at them as the game is rigged in favour of the established elite.
-
Hope there's some left for us after they've finished, we could do with a couple.
-
Makes you appreciate PIF buying us regardless of all the hurdles put in the way. Also makes me thankful that we aren't a closed league, probably what has helped make the Premier the most popular football league in the world.
-
Imagine being a Spurs fan and watching Poch end up at Chelsea. They'll be demonstrating against Levy next season.
-
Isn't there a club down south he could fucking buy?
-
Villa are a genuinely good side, with a terrific manager. That was the one game I was confident Liverpool would drop points as well, and they really shouldn't have got any.
-
That's not right like, we were conceding far fewer goals when we sat back. We were scoring less as well, so swings and roundabouts, but it feels like we are evolving regardless.
-
Same with Rice. Let's get real here, I actually think there's more chance of us signing Messi than either of those two, and that doesn't really disappoint me.
-
It doesn't seem to matter though does it? The game is rigged in their favour, if they failed to spend their way to success in the last couple of seasons, they can just keep hoovering up the best players and trust it will stick. Not sure it works like that in reality though, a club needs to have an identity, and I'm fucked if I know what Chelsea's is.
