By all means criticise, but then that criticism also has to be open to criticism. If it's valid it will hold up over the long term at the end of the day.

Howe has always known what he wants and where he wants to go. That's the difference.

I thought it was a nice touch that he was given the captain's armband again even when he's not figured much this season. Says a lot about his character and the respect he commands in the dressing room. He's not a polished CB by any means, but he doesn't ever hide. And he's a bit of a hard cunt which should never be underestimated given where he plays.

He's done a good job, and he's a good manager. If he was top quality then he would have succeeded at Arsenal instead of losing the respect of his squad, and he would have had the balls to take the Newcastle job instead of changing his mind, then changing his mind again and getting a National Express coach to the Midlands in classic FOMO fashion. I think a bloke who has that much trouble making his mind up can't be a top coach.

He probably won't keep persisting with the same line ups though.

Proven pedigree in the PL? It's easy for those on the outside to say Wilson's finished, but Howe sees the guy in training week in week out. Personally I have never felt Wilson contributed all THAT much outside the box, he's a finisher first and foremost. But he's not been finishing lately, so does that mean he's done? Maybe. Or maybe he's just a striker going through a bad patch. I like Isak a lot btw, but I've seen games where he's been equally anonymous when we aren't getting in behind teams. I think Isak will start next week, but there's no guarantees he will tear Wolves apart unless we can get the rest of our game in gear. Personally I think our football has regressed since Willock got out of the team, our football has become less fluid.

We were never going to go through the whole season in the form we showed first half of the season. This could be a blip, or it could be we are just running out of steam with a small squad. But while we are still in there with a very realistic chance of getting top 4 I don't see any reason to throw in the towel. A couple of wins and we could be back in CL positions.

Not sure how our generally good midfield will cope with Joelinton missing since him and Bruno looked the most competent players in that area today. He'll be a big miss for us. I like Willock but he looks better when Joelinton is in there with him.

Aye, I'm as disappointed as anyone, but the message doesn't seem to have registered with some folk. I'm sure we'd love nothing better than to spend £80m on a 30 yr old world class player or two, but FFP has been designed specifically to stop us doing that. City and Chelsea could do that 10 years ago, those days are gone now.

Understandable for the players, but Arteta dancing around like a tit feels premature.
