This is not great for work like, I can barely tear myself away from this page at the moment.

We all wondered if that £140m loan from HSBC was going to come into play. Well maybe it was just a coincidence.

That is literally one of the sexiest finishes I've seen since Callum Wilson's last two goals.
  4. I think we'd definitely sell him, just not unless we got good money, I'm thinking around £20m+. I know he pisses us off with his poor end product, but he's still a very useful squad member who does a hell of a job from a team POV. It's not like we would be desperate to get rid.

Mate if it makes you feel better, I'm sure Casimero will be outstanding this season, and you might get another if you're lucky. Then your owners will be ramping up the bank loans to pay for the replacement.
  6. Well yeah, obviously if he goes to West Ham - which I still don't accept btw - then he's clearly shit. Fuck @Flip as well for leading us down the garden path.
  7. I refuse to accept it. Paqueta isn't signing for West Ham, this is clearly a Martin Samuels jealousy inspired story released to piss on our chips.

Well yeah. So £60m is astronomical for the big boys? Piss off.
  9. Paqueta going to that rotten excuse for a football club would take some of the enjoyment off the Isak deal off a bit like, not gonna lie. We have to bring him here as well.

Isak is 22 not 42 though. Big difference.
  11. Nice of them to fix the fee for us. Now let's get him in as well.

Well I know there was a lot of journalists kept banging on about how we were deluded to think we would be going after this type of blue chip signing with our limited budget, but turns out the ones who thought that we would find the money for the really top talents were right. FFP is obviously a big factor, but when you can land your top targets then it's not really a consideration as we can buy the players we REALLY want right now instead of a year down the line.
  13. Hope so tbh, he still looks like a really good prospect. But realistically I can't see us signing both.

Depends really though, strikers are the most precious commodities to buy, getting a world class one can cost an absolute fortune. Is he world class? By all accounts he's the next big thing so yeah...I'm happy.

WTF? I go away to have lunch and in the space of one hour the whole world turns upside down.
  16. It just seems odd that this one was contradicted when you would have thought with his Watford connections this would be the most iron clad. Just seems like something odd is going on here, and I doubt it's from our side. I still think it will get done, just someone is playing games from the Watford end by the looks of it.

    Callum Wilson

Apparently his manager doesn't fancy him that much, he's had a great start to this season, but not done so well in prior campaigns.
  18. He also said it was a done deal, that's turned out to have been jumping the gun. If he's friends with the Watford owners, they've done him no favours there if they've gone back on that to try and get a few extra quid by dragging Everton in.
  19. It's more of a reflection of where Everton are than the player tbh. You couldn't blame him for taking more money if it's a significant amount, but you would have to look at how desperate Everton must be to offer more than he's already agreed to just to get a signing over the line, especially one which they've done no work for in negotiating a price. They really have turned into a shithouse of a club, with a crap manager and obviously poor recruitment process.
  20. £25m and I would reluctantly part ways.
