If Spurs are really after him I could see us cashing in on Ayoze if the 20m figure is true. Yes another good season could see us add another 10m to that price tag, but just as possible that he'll regress a bit or not get a lot of game time (I worry McClaren might not fancy Perez for some reason, Obertan started over him the first few games FFS) and we'll never see an offer that big again. Not seen him play but from what I know of him I do think a player of this style is something we need. Other than Mitrovic there's nobody in our squad that can act as a focal point for the attack, a target man if you will. Likely to be cheap and will probably be content to be a squad player with Mitrovic as first choice. Could see there being something in this. Not encouraging that everyone thinks he's shite though.

Yep. Playing in the role he's meant to and, just as crucially, been given a run of games to show what he can do. Was always clear he wasn't one of Pardew's favourites and would be out of the team as soon as Pardew could get Tiote/Colback/Jonas back in there. Think he's gonna be one of the mainstays of the team moving forward, at least I hope so.

Well at least his ban is coming in the middle of this horrible run of games that we'd struggle in anyway. Get him settled down for his comeback because we'll need him.
