I'm also shocked that they're talking about the biggest story of the week.

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
Shak replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
Nice to hear he's building his load. A little patience can lead to a much more satisfying sensation in these situations, I've found. -
Not true and also not really a great response to that post even if it was?

First time for everything.

Decent manager takes the heat for his players, generally.

Just wait for someone else to make a funny comment and then like that, Branko. Your attempts to be funny yourself are as bad as my penalties xx

If only we'd had a manager or something to sort out these details before the tournament. I'm a poor finisher, always have been

Seems to have started one game in the league and come on as a sub twice, one of those appearances lasting one minute. Has played all their Conference League games.

The pint I had was absolutely despicable, if we're being honest. Almost ruined the evening.

Hoping Beren can keep taking the heat, mask my dodgy ass record

I get in tomorrow afternoon, reckon we find out where these warm up games are happening, have a wee scout. And sure if we happen to have any broken glass on us we could always sprinkle it around the place where they're playing.

I feel bad that, as player of the match last time you played, you're not on their team. It would be an honour to see you wear the red shirt.

They could basically turn the Premier League into the Super League by allowing more investment. It's by far and away the most popular league in the world. Had the likes of Forest, Villa and our owners been allowed to be aggressive with investment we'd have all built much better squads by now. At the same time, the established top teams would have had to spend more to stay ahead of the pack and improved their squads too. A talent like Olise leaving the league isn't a good thing for the brand and wouldn't have happened if teams at the top could be more aggressive in the transfer market. I think part of it is ultimately a pride thing. It's more palatable for the likes of Liverpool to imagine being a midtable club in a league full of clubs like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich than it is to have clubs like Newcastle or Villa push on and possibly surpass them.

If the 8v8 isn't too cramped I'd lean three games.
-
Aye if we go for just two games each this seems better, surely?
-
How big is the pitch? Is 8v8 gonna be cramped or fine?

If you ain't white, you ain't right.

If Mode shows up and fucks this for me it'll be the last straw.

Burn is well capable of doing a job as a squad member. Backup CB and emergency LB. Issue is, we've just given Kelly a long term contract and he seems to be the exact same thing.

Can't really fault him for anything today. Suppose you could argue based on what we saw that Almiron starting ahead of Murphy might have been a better call, Miggy looked sharp and tried to get on the ball I thought. We controlled that game for the majority of the 90 minutes and had the penalty gone on I'm fairly confident we close it out without much issue. Today was a consequence of what we did in the summer. Or didn't do, more accurately. Some of which is Eddie's responsibility. We have three really good front players in Gordon, Barnes and Isak. The drop off on quality after them is absolutely immense. A past it striker whose body is gone, a raw kid who they clearly don't think is ready to play and two wingers who offer work rate and almost nothing in the way of quality on the ball. There's not a team in the Premier League that Jacob Murphy could start for at RW and be a real asset to his side. Had we had a player who can actually contribute something in general play there I'd expect today we'd have found a goal. There's also the issue of our midfield. We still haven't added a player with any ability to unlock a team in the final third. Tonali looks like he'll be a player, but he seems to me more like an upgrade on Joelinton. Meanwhile, we've extended Joelinton go presumably play alongside him.

Maybe an overstatement but we've had far more of a foothold in the game than any other this season. Significant improvement IMO.
