Will probably be only 4th or 5th choice. Wonder if they've given up on Stones. Probably just a pawn to show Everton that they don't really need Stones.

God I hate football fans. It's people, not just football fans. It's the fucking tabloid generation, attention span of a nat, where everyone is fucking offended at everything and yet can't be bothered to do a fucking thing about anything. It's been three games and that's enough, can't be spending any longer than that on a player, not enough time in our busy football fan lives. Should've signed a war veteran, he would've got the exact same red card and the exact same suspension, but he would've been a fucking hero. Jacky Colback picks up this red and there'd be a change.org petition before you could say pirouette. Every day I'm a step closer to buying an island and working out how to make WMDs.

It's been an ongoing trend since the start of the season actually I've noticed. Levels of softness shooting up. Fouls given for nothing. Fouls for playing the ball. Yellow cards for playing the ball... Today just went overboard with how we were involved. The worst part of it all is that people are defending how fucking soft it is. It's a game revolving around kicking a ball around. People are going to get kicked and stamped on. Wasn't just in our game either, there was a moment in Chelsea's game where Cahill missed the ball and kicked Wickham in the stomach, it was just a swing and a miss, nowt malicious, no studs, and yet the commentator is banging on about how it could've been a red. Sigh.

Howard Webb said after the game that intent doesn't come into it, and that it all comes down to whether the tackle was dangerous. Studs up onto the shin / foot automatically makes it dangerous (in the modern game). Sadly that's just the way it is. Pointless arguing about it. Either way he needs to wise up because he's a marked man and he has brought it on himself. It isn't at all pointless arguing about it. It's your (or Howard Webb's) interpretation that studs up to the shin automatically makes something dangerous, where as it is my opinion that Howard Webb is full of s***, and for it to be dangerous it has to have some speed/force behind it, which is normally caused by severe recklessness or malice. There is no way this is a red card, whether it's 2015 or 1915. Hey, my view might be skewed by a visit to A&E after a "studs up, no malice, no force" tackle in one of the teams I used to play for. You can absolutely do damage at slow speed with no malice. Thankfully in my case it was just bad bruising, but it could have been worse. You can do damage with any tackle at any speed, it doesn't mean it should be banned from the game, and it certainly doesn't mean his actions were "dangerous".

It doesn't matter whether you're a modern football loving nonce or not man, the rules these days are enforced that way whether you like it or not. I'd like it if the strikers were allowed to barge the goalies into the net like they used to in the '50s, but it's not going to happen. I'm not saying it should be a red. I'm saying, by the rules of the game and by the way football is going it was always going to be a red. Whether you agree if that kind of challenge should be a red or not is irrelevant... I don't agree with that either. It doesn't shock me, but it was still just a person getting his ankle stood on, it happens all the time and will happen until the end of time. It wasn't done with a great deal of force / at great pace / with malice. Never a red.
-
Anyone who thinks that should be a red card is a modern football loving nonce. It's a fucking contact sport where you have to swing your legs around to kick a ball. People will get kicked and stood on. Andre Marriner is an embarrassment and should be surgically sterilized.

Matic was AIDS today during the thirty minutes I watched. Get rid. Time to buy another AMLC
