  1. How do you expect your "Proper manager" will react when you "Get rid of the big earners"? Arsene Wenger works within a wage structure, he not proper enough for you? Working within an existing wage structure (which is massive at Arsenal btw) is completely different to the chairman coming in and saying right Arsene, I'm going to sell or renegotiate the contracts of all your top earning players. So because there isn't an existing wage structure, it means it wouldn't be possible to implement one? Give over. This place is full of retards.

  3. I'd just not give them a new contract / offer them a crap contract / offer them to other clubs. If they didn't accept then fine, but they'll be out the door when their contract is out if no-one would take me them off my hands before then. you may well still be paying them hugh wages for 3 or 4 years then . is it all high earners or just those that you think are under performing or do you get rid of them all even if it is to the detriment of the teasm ? isn't it more just a case of recognising the need to cut wages. What? I already said I'd offer them a crappier contract.. I'd implement a wage structure, and there'd be no exceptions to the rule. And yes, I'm aware people may still be hanging around for 3/4 years if I couldn't shift 'em. it's all easier said than done. can you imagine the negotiations with a posiible transfer to take 30thou when people at the club are still on 50thou. how tough would you be to the detriment of the team ?. it's a tricky thing to try and improve the team, stick to a wage structure, and compete in the market. a lot trickier than some seem to think. Yeah, I know they'd tell me to fuck off, but you'd still ask. It's kinda hard to say how much it'd be to the detriment of the team, I wouldn't have any exceptions to the rule as far as a wage structure goes, but I'd aim to replace the Nolans and Butts of this world with up and coming players and Championship sloggers. This is all assuming a decent Championship stint to be honest.

  6. NUFC winning the Champions League is more likely than terraces being re-instated.
  7. Proper manager Wage restructure Get rid of the big earners
  8. Fair enough. It is a football forum though, ultimately a footballers death will be more high profile. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I just find it very odd how people get upset about deaths of footballers who people have probably never heard of (and yeah, I know, you've never heard of the soldiers who died either) Why would people not have heard of him?
  9. Adopted a child with his wife earlier this year. I cannot understand why you'd do this. I don't think I ever want to tbh. RIP
  10. If they send me another email, I'm gonna riot.
  11. He's certainly young whenever he's near the elder statesman that is CP40... WTF. Madras is much older than me. Didn't realise that the Gimp hung around Madras that much.. Eh? Dont even know where madras lives.
  12. She's been kicked out of the league. I wonder what she's like in the bedroom.
  13. This thread is FM tastic. Send your scout off to the far reaches of the earth, only for him to come back and tell me that London has a population of 7 million and I should sign Fernando Torres.

    Reds v Blues?

Well anything after Mid-December is no go for me, so I guess I'm a NO.
  15. I think I was there... If Rooney scored his goal of the season OR If Rooney scored twice when we got royally dicked on, I was.
  16. Did Keegan wear a suit? Only in court. Aye but that was the 'People's suit' he was wearing. Well the people certainly paid for it...
  17. On that note: The NFL's support for Breast Cancer awareness puts the pathetic effort by the Premier League to shame. For an entire month... http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/getty/2009/09000d5d81329bfc_gallery_600.jpg http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/getty/2009/09000d5d8133111e_gallery_600.jpg http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/getty/2009/09000d5d81328547_gallery_600.jpg http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/getty/2009/09000d5d81320c9a_gallery_600.jpg http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/getty/2009/09000d5d81328546_gallery_600.jpg http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/getty/2009/09000d5d813214c3_gallery_600.jpg http://static.nfl.com/static/content/public/image/getty/2009/09000d5d81321338_gallery_600.jpg
  18. Too right. They should be stoned to death for ignoring the centuries old tradition of having poppies on football jerseys. Did anyone explain this poppies on shirts thing and WHY it started when it did? As I said before it can only be less than five years at the most. Does it actually matter when it started? The whole point is that for one minute people can have a minute to remember that thousands of people died to ensure we are free. I don't care whether people want to wear a poppy or not, or want to spend that minute silently thanking those who made the sacrifice or if they spend the minute silently singing the theme tune of the simpson's in their head. What annoys me is that there are some who won't allow that minute of silence to go ahead because they are ignorant idiots. Well yes it does matter, if only for the curiosity value. I mean we've had wars forever, soldiers dying for hundreds and thousands of years, poppies since 1918 but footballers wearing poppies since less than five years ago? It doesn't make sense to me. It's not as if the general public or footballers cares more than they did 30 or 40 years ago, we're just meant to show it more for some reason. I'm sure years ago a minute's silence for Remembrance day was only held if the 11th fell on a Saturday. Are you being serious? How can you not understand why public support for the poppy campaign may have increased in the last, I dunno, eight years or so....!?!? I'd like to understand exactly why the thread poster feels some clubs aren't showing due respect. Who said the clubs aren't? I said some Celtic fans chose to sing republican rebel songs during the minute of silence and that spoiled it for everyone there. Maybe you don't want to show respect for the people who have given their lives so that you can live yours, but to actively disrespect them is just wrong, imo. I don't know why or when the football clubs decided to start to have a minute's silence for remembrance day but in a society so apathetic to most things it is nice to see that some people do want to show respect to the people who died. I say Man Utd/Liverpool aren't, as they've actively refused a request to have a poppy sewn on their shirts. Celtic put a poppy on, even though they've got a wide range of scum fans who'd object to it, so if anything they've done better than most. We've 2 different arguments here.
  19. Only just noticed this gem! Personal opinion = he's a fat cockney rapist & SJP is shit, apart from the singing section. That is all.
