Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

How's Muntari working out for you? -
Axel Witsel? This is fun.
-
Did I say I wanted to sign him? This is the realistic transfer targets thread. A player on a free who plays a number of positions who are manager has signed before is probably going to be considered by the club in the summer. not necessarily. Using that theory, we could be linked with Hayden Mullins too then. We could but Spector is 25 and Mullins is past 30. Not necessarily is a neutral statement by the way. If someone said we could have Gervinho, N'Zogbia, Samba and a top striker so we'd have no money left to supplement the squad, I would accept Spector a squad filler.

Jonathan Spector is out of contract this summer and was signed by Pardew for West Ham. Plays a number of positions as well. I'm not necessarily endorsing it but I would say it's realistic. He has had a decent season for me as I was previously under the impression he was utterly terrible.

Disgraceful dive. Fuckin hate Jerome Thomas.
-
If you're talking about the one that's now on the BBC website, no he didn't. He said that he was aggressive today in the same way he was in the past when he was talked of as an England centre half.
-
I'm not sure. Usually teams suffer from second season syndrome as teams work them out. However, from listening to Pardew we'll play a different sort of game next year with an emphasis on pace (Ben Arfa and pacy new signings playing a bit part) rather than the direct approach we've used. Depends on the summer I guess.

It may have been me. Surprising he's the worst defender you've seen this season when he's a holding midfielder.
-
Obinna on a free might be a useful signing. Moses on the cheap is another option for a back up wideman. Da Costa is a another one that might be worth a little look if the price was right. Quick, strong, excellent in the air. Prone to errors but I think Colo would guide him pretty well. Diame or Thomas from Wigan would be decent back up for Tiote. As would Vaughan on a free. I fancy Wolves to go down ahead of one of those three teams though.

I assume M'Bengue and Tabanou play down the left together for Toulouse? So we're planning on signing their entire left side by all accounts. Anyone seen the two of them play together?
-
Joke decision. Barca should be fined a significant amount for surrounding the ref like that. He was weak as fuck and fell for it.
-
Great save from Forster.
-
Can I report kingdawson for abuse? Or does asking it as a question make it ok? Kingdawson, are you a cunt? Does your wife/ girlfriend think you're a cunt? Do the people on the Spurs board think you're a cunt and that's why you're here?

Blackburn vs Newcastle United, 12/2/11, Pre-match thread.
captainhaircut replied to Stifler's topic in Football
We look very thin up top for this one. Ranger has pulled out of the under 20 squad and Best has pulled out of the ROI squad. Nolan just off Lovenkrands with Guthrie in the middle? -
Dive from Naismith. Left his leg out and he's going down already. He dived earlier in the game and should have been booked then.
-
It would be a laugh if Allardyce went there. They just don't have the players for him to play his system. He's probably play Scharner up front. Jol will probably get it and will keep them up if he does which is shit for us as they were in total freefall. As an aside, Di Matteo is a total cock so delighted he's out of work.
-
Jason Puncheon is signing.
-
Cwarris has linked us with everyone this transfer window, he also linked Carroll with a £20+ million move to Spurs in the first few days of the window. I think he has had one lucky break and now thinks he is some kind of oracle! Just to clarify, I know he's full of shite. Hence the million exclamation marks. I don't believe in smileys.
-
Would anyone swap Enrique for Abidal disregarding age? I wouldn't. Imagine what Jose would do for them considering how he's done with our shower of shite. Abidal has it easy.

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Aston-Villa-are-ready-to-let-unwanted-midfielder-Stephen-Ireland-join-Newcastle-on-loan-and-are-preparing-a-third-bid-for-Blackpool-playmaker-Charlie-Adam-having-had-offers-of-2-5m-and-3-5m-rejected-over-the-past-fortnight-article677019.html Alan Nixon has us linked with Ireland. Usually full of shit but broke the Larsson story. As an aside, cwarris has us after Irelend as well. He was right about Pardew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Jose is good, but Abidal is better full-back overall. I do rate Abidal but I think he's very limited going forward.
-
Whenever I watch Barca, I'm always amazed that we have a better left back than them. They must be up there with the best club sides ever and Jose would walk into their side.

FA reject unfair dismissal appeal from NUFC for Cheik Tiote
captainhaircut replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Definately being appealed then. -
I've seen Krul save one 1 on 1 and Torres hit it straight at him. Sell in summer and bring Forster back.
