I see he's still diving to the very best of his ability.

Caulkin reckons Taylor is out for up to 6 weeks.
-
yep, ridiculous. Typically biased publication tbh. On a side note, I was discussing Rooney the other day with a mate and I honestly can't remember of a time he played well in a really big game. Champions League finals, FA Cup finals, games vs Liverpool or Chelsea. Strange that everyone thinks he'll win England the world cup single handed.
-
Lmao. Rooney better than Drogba.
-
Yeah, he'll do cracking against the utter wank. I still won't forgive him for being beaten in the air by fuckin Miguel right under the bar against Portugal in the last world cup. Shit teams have no idea how to handle. Any half decent defender will laugh at him.
-
When you do cross, Bojan misses headers from 5 yards out like in the first leg vs Chelsea last year. If I had just delivered quality like that into the box like Alves did, I would go over and kick anyone who missed the header.
-
Is anyone sure he can defend? Scoring from 25 yards against shit like Wigan and Blackburn is all well and good but I'm not sure on him defensively. Theres a photo of Man City's tactic board from their game v Arsenal and one of the tactics was to focus on drawing Vermaelen out of position because he has a tendency to go wandering. Seemed to work looking at the scoreline. Didn't see the game tbf.

Beye on the bench again. Cuellar starts at right back again. O'Neill makes some strange decisions when it comes to full backs. Still, its nice to see Beye sitting on the bench after the way he went on this summer.

Same with Ryan Taylor in for Geremi if fit. We need to play with some width if we want to take advantage of the physical presence we have up front.

Yep. Very disappointing. Serious question; has he ever been that good for us? I can't understand why he's our only midfielder who doesn't get stick. I think he's produced 3 or 4 games where he was good which is more than most others. -

I fuckin hate Mick Lowes. I've thought we've scored 4 times already with the way the twat goes on whenever the ball has come into the box. Still better than that bird on Five Live like. -

His pen v Wigan last year was excellent. In fact he was brilliant all game when everyone else played like they couldn't be arsed at all. -

QPR love to get it wide especially wide right. Its not a good idea to play Butt on the left of a three. -

Not a fan of that midfield. No width at all. Taylor hugged the right touchline on Saturday and provided a good option. I can't see Guthrie doing the same. -
Looks pretty quick to me, how fast do you want him to be able to go? Aye, he looks rapid once he gets going. Eats up the ground. You'll not get many with his build with the brilliant acceleration.
-
Bolton will ask £20m for Cahill though. He absolutely holds them together and I bet Villa will get a decent chunk of the transfer fee. I think Bolton learned with Anelka that they have to get ridiculous fees for these players and they won't be able to replace them for standard fees. They paid 10m for Elmander who is hardly an adequate replacement for Anelka and they couldn't replace Cahill for say 10m either.

Dunno about that. Colo looked like he was limping as he was walking at the end. Might have just been taken off as a precaution like as he Hughton mentioned he had a minor niggle before the cup game. -
Lol. He did play a canny pass to Nolan for the second tbf.
