Would potential be battling it out with Jonas to play alongside Cheick depending on how we set out. If we go for the three in midfield, I'd definitely start Jonas alongside Tiote (over any other DM tbh). His contribution on and off the ball is important and it is sometimes undervalued by some.

If Mulumbu doesn't mind playing second fiddle to Cheik then I'm for him coming here.

For me, Rio wasn't picked for the squad this summer because his 2011/12 season was shite - the man is clearly declining and what England doesn't need is an inconsistent CB (btw, I'm well aware that others who have had crap seasons have been selected - something which I'm not particularly happy with). It's just that I made up my mind about Rio well before the Euros - he kept making the simplest of mistakes (such as not tracking a player, misplacing passes). Jonny Evans had a much better season than Rio and that's saying something really.

Still though, Richards should have shown a better attitude about not being selected. He's pretty much jeopardised his future England prospects imho. Would he have any future prospects anycase? Hodgson has basically told him despite Johnson having a shocker of a season he's ahead of you.
