We definitely looked good in the first half. Ba has been unlucky not to be on the scoresheet already but still quite a lot of positive stuff. Just to have to keep it up in the second half.

Clearly not match fit like but we still saw glimpses of the Tiote we know and love. It's great to have him back.

Squad depth is important, it's just that we can probably do better than Perch in terms of a squad player. "Expecting" him to be sold was probably the wrong phrase to use. In any case, can't see him staying beyond his current contract.

I'm not worried as such about the Ben Arfa situation. Reckon he'll be fine. Benwell Lad posted this in the Pardew thread which sounds about right imo:
