If it is staying as it is it should be scrapped. .com is far superior in terms of match reports, keeping stats and fixtures up to date, opinions and posting new news.

Don't understand that, West Ham would be wanting atleast what they payed for him in January. No, I'm talking about two players who Wenger gave up on who've done well for themselves. You could even add Pennant I guess. Good piont in that case.
-
If you think we'll get Campbell for £1 million your off your head. He's out of contract next year but Harry will still milk all the money he can get, I'd expect he'd cost us £3/4 million minimum.

Apparently on his way out at Arsenal and I think he'd be a great buy for a couple of million. He's only 22 and looked promising at Arsenal up until this year where he has hardly played, would definetly be worth it for the price imo.
-
yeah, they only need 75%+ to take the club private iirc. nothing to stop someone else coming in and buying the Halls shares or becoming majority shareholder. i think shepherd is coming out saying he'll never go/wants to buy up more shares because he is worried about the halls selling up and wants to frighten away potential investors by appearing intransigent. You need 90% to take the club private.

You can't buy more than 30% of the shares without launching a takeover bid. Then for any takeover bid to be successful Freddy would need to sell. That's why any takeover bid would be impossible without Freddy's support.

Don't know anything about that Fernandes, could be another one of Big Sam's hidden gems.
-
I'm sure Freddy would take measures to protect his position, like have Bruce or Kenny buy up some shares.

Baines for £4million, you have to be joking, you are going to be looking closer to £8million. Also the fact that you even want Hunt makes your post even more laughable.

He's left for PSV. The loan deal has already been agreed and he''ll start his pre-season training at PSV.
-
I feel very uneasy about Anelka. He seems to move club virtually every year and I don't think he is a particularly brilliant striker, certainly not worth any more than £9m.
-
Hopefully Big Sam can pursuade Sidwell to change his mind and join us instead.
-
Good news that he is getting rid of that lot.
-
Already said he won't be taking the assistant job unless their is a major breakdown in contract talks at Hull, which I very much doubt will happen.
-
I'm a big fan of Parker but I think £8m is a great price, especially when you can get the likes of Barton for £5 million.
-
Also didn't Boumsong score against us in that Gateshead cup thing a few years back.
-
I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to agree a fairly small fee with Bolton.
-
He's to young, A captain should be given to a player with expierence and is respected amoung the other players, Imagine Taylor trying to bollock a senior player on the pitch, They'd tell him to fuck off. Load of bollocks about senior players needing to be Captain these days. Nolan, Reo-Coker, Davies, Richards and Downing are just a few of the players who have captained aged under 25.
-
I wolud imagine if he came back in Sam's backroom staff he would retain the player/coach role he currently has at Bolton. He was made assistant manager there wasn't he? Not sure he'd drop that in a week and run. He's joint First team coach with Jimmy Phillips. Ricky Sbragia is assistant manager.

For me Nicky Butt already seems very vocal and in the long term I can't see him being here for more than 2 years. I'd rather have Taylor who could well be Captain for the next decade.
