I don't think Allardyce will allow Dyer to cause shit in the dressing room, in fact I think that Dyer would be made to train on his own if he started doing that. Kieron Dyer has a lot more to lose in this than we do. Dyer will lose his England place if he is not playing regularly. Best he does a James Milner, gets his head down, doesn't complain and let his football do the talking. I think it's impossible to compare his situation to Milner. Dyer's problem is not with the club it's with the fact his kids are hundreds of miles away in Ipswich. I actually think Ashley's move is rather disgraceful as family should be more important than business and he risking dyer's relationship with his kids just so he can swueeze a little bit more from West Ham. i heard he asked for a 2mill loyalty bonus. if thats so then he can go to hell. If that's the case then I agree with you but from what I've read in the papers today the deal stalled because Ashley intervened and said he wanted £2 million more. However if it does emerge he asked for a loyalty payment then we were right to tell him to get stuffed.

Dyer is a self-centred petulant turd who has got his own way every day of his umpteen seasons here. He has had maybe half a dozen good games in his time here. He's a parasite who won't change his ways because he has no experience of "getting his head down" Shepherd and Robson in paticular, then Souness and Roeder have created the whining self-important overpaid monster that Dyer is today. Very unfair assessment of Dyer I feel, sure he was twat when he was younger and I do not like him as a player but over the last year or two he has worked real hard to get over his injuries and succeeded.

I don't see it as an idiotic move, if Dyer does play up then we can do to him what we did to Robert when we farmed him out but were still paying his wages, we can fine him. We're sending out a message that we're not mugs and will not just go along with what Dyer or West Ham want us to go along with. Bowing to a player or another club would have been idiotic. We're no longer going to be a soft touch and will only benefit from this stance in future when we're dealing with other clubs and players. We have an asset worth £6 million and the way we are going we will end up with an asset worth a lot less. We have to remember Dyer's situation with his family greatly complicates the situation and basically means we can only sell him to clubs in London or MAYBE the Midlands. That leaves us with only 9 Premiership clubs we can geographically sell him to and that number is cut to 3 (Villa, West Ham, Spurs) when you think of who would realistically want him, could afford him and could pay his wages. If we don't sell him other than seeing him sit on the bench for a year we get nothing. We still have to pay his huge wages and I can't see Allardyce playing him as undoubtly his mood will have an affect on how he plays.
  5. Both Newcastle and Everton have had bids accepted for Baines and he is holding talks with both clubs according to skysports.com Link

Idiotic move by us. We really have no hand to play. If the transfer doesn't go through we are left with a player who does not want to be here and who will undoubtly become dejected and be of no value to us on the pitch. I mean can anyone actually see Dyer coming back and getting on with it, I certainly can't and I thoroughly expect him to play up fuck and disturb the dressing room until he gets his wish. It's going to be a complete disaster as if we keep him as undoubtly we'll have to sell him in January or next summer for half the price as he'll mope about and stir shit which will leave us no option but to not play him.
  7. Never had a problem with them myself and been with them about 2 years.

Ashley after more cash seems to be the general consensus.

All the papers say the deal has collapsed and unless Newcastle drop their price it won't go through.
  10. Like the sound of this guy, get him in.
  11. From what I've read if both deals are done then Smith and Cacapa are likely to join Allardyce at his pre-Sampdoria press conference, which is later today.
  12. Barton and Smith will kick the shit out most teams this year. Certainly not going to be soft touches away from home.

    Dyer's replacement

Would love to have someone like Kevin Nolan brought in but more realistically I'd like Giles Barnes.
  14. SSN are saying that Chelsea have officially given us permission to talk to Geremi. So I presume that means he won't be entirely free.
  15. Would love to have the Chelsea trio here. Think it would be a great move.
  16. I don't imagine Rigters is a replacement for either Martins or Owen. More like a 5th striker as Carroll is likely to be loaned out.
  17. In a way I'm resigned to losing either Martins or Owen. The only thing I hope now is that we get a decent replacement.
  18. I think we could sign another CB. Beye can play RB. Geremi can play either flank. Huntington is likely to be loaned out. Edgar probobly isn't ready yet. Then with Edmilson out until November we'll most likely need another CB.
  19. Forgetting my Newcastle bias, it's gonna be amazing seeing Berbatov and Bent play up front next season. Could be one of the most lethal strikeforces in the Premiership.

Signed apparently but will be announced and unveiled at a later date with other signings.
  22. Minus Parker who we sold for £7 million. So would actually be £1.8 million. Outrageously good business. And with the Owen compo means we are actually running a £8.2m profit so far. Owen compo was nowhere near £10m like the Chronicle stated.

Link SAM ALLARDYCE clinched his first defensive signing for Newcastle United when David Rozehnal arrived at St James’ Park from Paris St Germain. And the United boss is expected to go back to France for another defender in Marseille’s versatile Habib Beye, who is at home both at right-back and centre-half. Rozehnal was at St James’ Park yesterday afternoon to talk terms and have a medical after his £2.7m transfer from PSG, which will see the 26-year-old Czech international sign a four-year deal. And he certainly had a rocking welcome to Tyneside, as along with the likes of Allardyce, Sir Bobby Robson, Freddy Shepherd, Lee Clark and Terry McDermott, Rozehnal enjoyed the Rod Stewart concert at St James’ Park. He stopped rocking briefly to say: “Coming to a great club like Newcastle United is reward for all the hard work I have done throughout my career.” United have seen off Borussia Dortmund for Rozehnal’s signature, and even when UEFA Cup holders Sevilla showed late interest, the player had already set his heart on Newcastle, with his acquisition compensating for missing out on Tal Ben Haim to Chelsea. He is United’s sixth signing from PSG, following in the footsteps of Sylvain Distin, Alain Goma, Laurent Robert, Didier Domi and David Ginola. And I expect United to go back to France for the current Marseille skipper, the 29-year-old Senegalese Beye, once the defender returns from holiday. Beye played in both the UEFA Cup games against United in 2004 when Marseille went through thanks to Didier Drogba. And the season before last he did likewise against Allardyce’s Bolton Wanderers in the UEFA Cup. Beye has plenty of experience, but this will not stop Big Sam from stepping up his efforts to bring Sami Hyppia to St James’ Park once Liverpool sign a replacement for the Finnish international. Meanwhile, things are starting to hot up at St James’ Park both on and off the field. Another new arrival is expected to be Mark Taylor – a key member of Allardyce’s backroom staff at Bolton Wanderers – with the rather grand title of Head of Sport Science. When Freddy Shepherd bumped into Allardyce at the HMV awards near the end of last season in London, the United chairman’s main topic was to find out why Bolton had had so few injuries. Hartlepool-born 42-year-old Taylor is the main reason and he will be a welcome arrival at St James’ Park.

To be honest it doesn't really matter as long as he is in by the start of pre-season training next week.
