  6. What are the Premier League rules on names on shirts? Can it be anything? I don't think swear words like 'f***' and 'c***' are allowed tell that to brian pinas. Or Kuntz of Germany
  7. He's the Jock version of Sadam Hussain tbh
  8. thought he was off to the olympics Too old, and Manyoo won't let him be one of the three. Coloccini will mark him out the game
  9. Still over a week to sign a couple more players before that game.
  10. 3 main players out and a start of the season game, not a better time to play them. If we get tonked still how embarrassing will it be.
  11. Ronaldo is a world-class player playing in a team of other world-class players, something that we're nowhere near at the moment. I think comparing his role in the Man U team with Guttierez's role in ours is at best shaky. What we need is service from the flanks, and sticking Guthrie out there will not provide it. And the "Static 4-4-2" has not been bad because there's somthing inherently wrong with 4-4-2, but because we've been fielding inept players. For me it's: --------------------Given Beye Coloccini Bassong/Faye Enrique ---------------Faye/Guthrie Guttierez/Milner -------- Duff/Milner/Guttierez ------------------N'Zogbia --------------Owen Martins That's if we had to start the season tomorrow, but hopefully a couple more signings will change that around a bit. A creative mid is a must for me, then Charlie can play left wing if he gets his head screwed on correctly. And just because Ronaldo is world class he is allowed to move positions? mackems.gif Jonas an Argentinian international is not good enough to do that in your eyes? In Man U's team they have all the attack swapping positions at different times, if Ronaldo was just to change positions then the team would lose their shape but because of their quality they are able to do this, it's reality that we aren't good enough to do this. Totally disagree that you can't interchange position with our side at full strength. Viduka, Owen and Martins were doing it when we switched to 4-3-3 with Barton pushing further on from midfield. They were playing in positions they were comfortable in, if you play Jonas as creative midfielder then you're talking a large percentage of his game away which is the ability to bomb up and down the wing, just because he's on the wing doesn't mean he can't create from their. Who said you'd be taking that away? Jonas could play in a similiar position that owen took up towards the end of last season. So playing owen in an attacking midfield role ditracted from him being a striker did it? Scored more goals and opened up space for the other 2 making runs down either wing! Oh no jonas couldn't possiblt do that! Get a grip man

  14. Benfica close on Reyes Atletico forward set for loan switch By Francisco Acedo Last updated: 5th August 2008 Championship 2008/09 Atletico Madrid forward Jose Antonio Reyes is on the brink of joining Benfica on loan. According to reports in Spain, Reyes will tie up a temporary move to the Portuguese club in the next 24 hours after two weeks of negotiations. There is also expected to be an option for a permanent sale at the end of the season for a fee in the region of 15million euros (£11.9million). Reyes had a miserable first season at Atletico following his switch from Arsenal last summer. He made 26 appearances but failed to score a single goal, and no longer appears to figure in the plans of Javier Aguirre. The 24-year-old, who has also spent time at Sevilla and Real Madrid, was linked with a move to Newcastle last month. We need to fuck these muppets over for the Aimar deal. Loan deal would be even better
  15. Nah I'm hoping it's a double swoop involving Reyes! lol
  16. It's out of position because he's a winger, and that position isn't on the wing. And Guthrie's not a winger, there's no way I'd want him on the right hand side. He'd be about as effective as other CMs have been there in recent years, witness the insipid performances of Bowyer and Barton on at right wing. Stick Spidey on the wing, and we need to buy a creative midfielder (Which we're all aware of). Failing that, I'd rather have Barton there or even Guthrie if it came to it, or else put Milner or Duff on one wing, Guttierez on the other and play N'Zogbia as an AM. If we've learnt anything from the last 3 or 4 years it should be that square pegs in round holes simply don't work. Ronaldo's a winger but does he always stick on the wing? Jonas can still get out wide from that position, why stay in one place and become predictable in your attacks? Ok it would effectively be a 4-3-3 but that looks miles better than the static 4-4-2 we've been watching recently. Movement is the key just look at Man U and Arsenal for examples, to keep someone in the same place on the pitch is a doddle for defenders.
  17. Not for me, don't want Jonas out of position as we need to be getting the best out of him from the wing, Harper in for Given and I wouldn't start Bassong just yet, lets wait and see how he copes in the Premiership first. How is that out of position? He can be darting either side of the strikers which will be much harder to double mark him. That would create so much more space for owen and martins
  18. That looks the s*** right there lad! and we won't need any new players to have that starting 11. Nope If we get a couple of top class signings maybe for Zoggys and Guthrie's positions and a couple in defense we'll be looking top 8 certainly.

    Alan Smith

what's your intention in posting that bontempi? mass suicide? Think it's our only option now! the old classic - what's the manager supposed to say when asked about his only fit striker? "he's a heap of s*** and we can't give him away"? keegan was a great striker so he'll know exactly how bad smith is, problem is he may know he can't get rid therefore motivation & hope are all that's left when i say hope, by the way, i mean hope that owen/oba/fats duke stay fit!! If I was in Keegan's shoes I would plainly see that encouragement is not exactly working with Smith. I'd put out a statement along the lines of "There's lots of competition for striking positions and Alan needs to start producing allot more before being considered for selection" Ok it's not calling him shit directly, but if you keep telling him he's doing ok he'll carry on doing the same crap performances he's always done. Half of us in here would have more of a threat.

KK still backing goalshy Alan Smith 04 August 2008 By Miles Starforth Newcastle United writer KEVIN Keegan backed Alan Smith after the striker's long run without a goal continued in Newcastle United's 1-0 defeat to Real Mallorca. Smith was Keegan's only fit forward going into the Mallorca Summer Cup game at Palma's ONO Estadi. And the 27-year-old and his team-mates drew a blank for the third successive game. But Keegan has no doubt that Smith – whose last competitive goal was for Manchester United in their 7-1 demolition of Roma in March last year – brings a lot to his team. He told the Gazette: "We're down to one foward, but the one thing you know with Alan Smith is that he's always going to work hard." Keegan was without around half his senior players for the Mallorca game, and he is optimistic he will have a number of them back in time for the season opener at Old Trafford on August 17. He added: "I can't fault their attitude. I had 11 players who weren't available. We weren't without our problems. "I wasn't going to risk anybody, or do anything silly." f***ing hell man! I mean c'mon Kevin are you blind?
  22. Who's been asking for help? C'mon admit it Ric Roll Gets Me Hard? I think I have a serious problem, like. I was at college today, and, like, one of my mates totally Ric Rolled me, and I dont know what happened, but, like, I totally found myself getting a semi under the table. When I got home, I, like, found the video again on Youtube, and once again, got another erection. Surely this isnt normal. Is it Ric himself, or is it the music. Has this, specifically, like, ever happened to anyone else? The same thing happens when I watch Blue Peter. Best Response It's okay to get erections over anything. Totally natural if you're young as well. I'm in my late teens and I've experienced the same kind of thing, but you eventually grow out of it. It doesn't mean anything. Blue Peter sounds like a porno movie, so that would be okay to get hard over...
