No links anywhere and people think he's here going off some goon on another forum. Oh dear

I hate him already! Bring back Smith!

You see that's where you've taken me wrong. I know I'm like a bull in a china shop sometimes. I'm not having a go at the thread, it's a perfectly fine thread, it's is predictable though that IMO someone would start one like this. It happens almost every year. For me though there are two seperate things: One thing that excites me is that Footie is back. One thing that makes me aprehensive and nervous and pessimistic is that we are not bloody ready for it We were ready last season and look how that turned out It's all about the signings no matter when they come in, if Keegan can get the level we've been seeing we have nowt to worry about.

Hope it's the latter

I'm 'the leader' of nothing. And if it's so predictable, why bother reading it? I didn't say it wasn't an interesting post, it's a good rallying call, with a feelgood factor. I think a lot of people respect what you have to say and adopt your opionions as their own. It's a complement, I wish I was as well respected and not this ridiculed piece of crap that everyone makes fun at :-[ :'( I want to buy you this for all the wrong doing. http://www.wayodd.com/funny-pictures2/funny-pictures-poo-head-099.jpg

Don't know if it's already been posted but Keegan: Guthrie will have big impact Aug 8 2008 by Alan Oliver, Evening Chronicle Danny Guthrie NEWCASTLE United may not have signed many of the big-money players their fans have been wanting – but Kevin Keegan is still happy enough at the men he has brought in. And while Sebastien Bassong may have to wait a while for his Premier League debut, it looks as though Jonas Gutierrez and Danny Guthrie will be very much in Keegan’s plans when United go to Old Trafford for the opener with Manchester United in just nine days’ time. That is providing Gutierrez’s paperwork comes through to enable him to play and complete his transfer from Real Mallorca. Gutierrez was lively enough against PSV Eindhoven at St James’s Park on Wednesday night, but it was Guthrie who claimed his second goal for the club. And if his first at Hartlepool was a trifle lucky after it was deflected in, his goal in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw was cleverly worked and well taken. And Keegan told me today: “We might bring in four or five signings here, but it might be a lesser-known player who makes the biggest impact. “Danny Guthrie’s got a lot of energy. He’s got a good eye for a goal, and he can certainly pass the ball. “He’ll get better the more games he plays, the more experience he gets, and the more we put ahead of him. “No disrespect to the lads that played, because they did terrifically well, but when you get someone like Michael Owen, Oba or Viduka up there, he’ll run off them. “He’ll certainly finish if he gets a chance, as people have seen – I’ve seen that in training.”

Amazes me how much media coverage we actually get when we are supposed to be also rans

Be a bit of a come down if it's Colo and Healy but if it's a quality Striker or Midfielder with Colo i'm going to get lashed and go to a whore house.
-
I'm really upbeat about who we've brought in. Ok I'd be happy with a few more players but i'm sure we'll get them in before the end of August. We have the best defensive line-up for as long as i can remember We Have 2 good Goalkeepers We have 3 good Strikers when fit Jonas looks exciting and Guthrie can actually pass and keep hold of the ball We only need a few more players but i'm sure Keegan will get them in and until he doesn't i'm holding onto any criticism of the club.
-
Absolutely music to my ears hearing he may be sodding off! Keegan's not daft he knows full well Smith was going. The exciting part is we are going to need 2 strikers and Healy is one I really don't think Keegan would go for. I'm sure we'll have another 4 in before the end of the transfer window. Maybe 2 more before the Man u game

And tell him he likes fingering Portuguese men.

TOFFEES IN DOUBLE SWOOP? Posted 07/08/08 15:59 EmailPrintSave Everton have made a second offer for Joao Moutinho that will smash their club transfer record, according to reports on Merseyside. The Liverpool Echo claims that the Toffees have gone back to Sporting Lisbon with an offer in excess of the £11.25m they paid to Middlesbrough for Yakubu a year ago. Moutinho has made it clear that he wants to complete a move to Everton and could soon be joined there by Alan Smith. According to the Echo, 'sources in the North East have indicated it is a question of 'when' not 'if' he joins the Blues in a deal that is likely to cost around £2m'. Everton boss David Moyes has tried to sign Smith twice before - once when he was leaving Leeds and again a year ago before the England international opted to join Newcastle.
