  1. 60m or something... £200m http://www.caughtoffside.com/2008/09/23/manchester-city-sale-worringly-puts-football-clubs-on-the-good-investment-list/
  2. A True Legend who will be sadly missed.
  3. unless you are in the paddock area then you have bought tickets for one of the bars/clubs (bar 1892 or platinum club), the different colours are to do with how many seats are left in each section.
  4. what area of the ground are you in? just the milburn stand clubs are £15 a ticket.
  5. surely that is what the club world championships is about?
  6. I totally agree. I believe all football clubs should be self sustaining (yes they can have debts but they must be able to service the debt themselves), with wages like they are offering then there is no way they could survive without the current owner.
  7. FYP SSN think fee is around 30mil Euros.
  8. checked out the club website and a lot more than the 1000 tickets stated have been sold. the figure at a guess is probably closer to 10000.
  9. the £40m (if that is the figure) working capital facility is purely to cover the costs you have stated and other upfront outgoings until tv revenue, League money, merchandising money, etc comes in. The idea is that you can borrow upto £40m, but at the end of the season the amount owed will be back at zero.
  10. Theyre just trying it on. The three year deal was sold as the cheapest way to get a ticket, but this ceased to be true when they announced the price cuts back in Jan/Feb. The sales brochure also heavily featured both Keegan and Mort. In short, the three year deal was almost certainly mis-sold. And by failing to take out payments on the agreed dates theyve probably broken the terms of the contract. Lots of supporters have cancelled their three year deals, theres no reason why you shouldnt. Dont let them push you about. Give them hell. They haven't said anything about still being tied in to the 3 year deal, regardless I would be buying my season tickets anyway. "Newcastle is for Life, not just the Premier League"
  11. just spoke to the box office, even though I was signed up on the 3 year Direct Debit Scheme they haven't been taking the direct debit payments so I've got to pay for both tickets in full. The words Useless and Bastards come to mind!
  12. must admit instructions for those on the 3 year/direct debit scheme would have been nice, don't know if I need to do anything or not.
  13. A guy from 1st Artist was on talkshite this morning (talking about the ronaldo transfer). he was asked how the sale of our players was going and said that they had been told to hold off on selling any players due to 2 bids for the club.
  14. I think people are getting confused over the Liverpool debt of £350m and £36m interest payments and our debt of £100m interest free with a seperate £40m working capital overdraft facility.
  15. nothing back, just 4 extra games for your money.
  16. If Shearer doesn't stay then I have to agree with wanting Martinez. Also the West Brom manager is a Smoggie (think that still qualifies as English)
  17. as an average they have asked about 194 fans from each club, which is just over 0.5% of season ticket holders(if it was season ticket holders they asked). I would take their research with a pinch of salt, personally.
  18. He was definately sober, he looks(and talks) like that due to all the abuse he has put his body through over the years.
  19. only because the clubs spent the money before they got it. If the bubble burst with the SKY TV deal then most premiership clubs would be seriously in the shit.
  20. I wouldn't have a problem with it as it would always be SJP to me. You will struggle to find someone willing to sponsor the ground for that sort of money though, they prefer to sponsor new stadiums. The reason for the second line being in your first line, obviously. Everyone would always call the Newcastle BroonAleBowl SJP anyway, hence the naming rights would sell for considerably less. Whereas the Reebok has always been the Reebok. How desperately, desperately tacky. Yep, and as much as Arsenal fans try and call it "Ashburton Grove", their new one will always be "The Emirates". Whereas sponsor an old ground, and it will still get called St James's. Does The Riverside still get called The Cellnet? Once the sponsorship deal is finished and the press only refer to it as 'Ashburton Grove' then that's what everyone will call it
  21. I just can't see Curbishley having any interest in a possible job at Newcastle. He left WHU due to the DOF situation, which is exactly the reason KK left us, and that structure is still inplace here.
  22. The SSN reporter that has been camped outside Arsenal for the last 2 days did say earlier today that 'the Asharvin deal and a couple of others were still to be confirmed by the FA.'
  23. I have to agree, I am on the 3 year direct debit and I would not contemplate cancelling. I am black and white and I will always support NUFC no matter what.
