By the same token, 5 footballing reasons why Keegan should have been appointed? Anyone know if Shearer is on MOTD tonight? still on holiday i think
-
That Gimp is Pete Graves from Century Radio
-
Who has just been on? anal i presume You presume correctly
-
All Anal's good work has just gone down the drain. He has just been on SSN and basically said it will be Redknapp or Hughes. Not exactly a manager to 'blow our socks off'.
-
would love him as manager, but just don't think it will be him.
-
Round was appointed by Big Sam.
-
Actually it was the lad that has just finished tiling my bathroom, he was sat infront of Ashley on sunday and turned round and told him that 'he needs sack that fucking useless git'
-
Shepherd may have been an ignorant fat c*nt but why would Hitzfeld have ever even considered coming to us? He's nearly 60 years old, has spent all his career managing Geman or Swiss clubs and we are, lets face it, more than a gnats cock away from Champions League football. Of course Switzerland are just a whisker away from winning a major competition aren't they... maybe not........ but he does live there.

Should Sam Allardyce get the Sack? (Main Page Poll)
geordie2000 replied to madras's topic in Football
my biggest concern is that there is no sign of us getting any better, we have played terrible for most of the season and got lucky with some of the results. -
Another player 'set to sign'? Jonathan Walters from Ipswich? Nope.
geordie2000 replied to a topic in Football
Think this one may just be agent talk. He is 24yrs old, has scored 9 goals in 22 league app this year. only signed for Ipswich in January. in the last 5 years he has played for Ipswich, Chester Wrexham, Hull, Bolton and Blackburn. and has been on loan to Hull, Barnsley and Scunthorpe. The move from Hull to Wrexham was to be closer to his family apparently. -
Ngo Baheng faces up to a year out with cruciate ligament injury

It was the old regime at the club that Le Harve had a problem with, maybe this time we have been very open and honest about what we are doing, also we have agreed to pay some money this time. -
You don't even know where Birkdale is do you? They have automatically assumed it is in Liverpool, because he is from there. And yes I do know it is in Southport, because I have done some work there in the past.

Steven Taylor rejects new contract; Liverpool preparing £5m bid?
geordie2000 replied to magorific's topic in Football
Why should taylor be on the same as Faye, Faye is a full international. Taylor will probably have to wait 4 years to equal the 5 caps that Faye has. saying he should have the same wages as overpriced and overpayed players who were bought by the previous regime, is also ridiculous. Yes he probably deserves an increase and yes his father is probably spouting off to try and get a bigger wage rise, but he should have chosen his words a bit better. he should be working on getting him incremental rises throughout the contract; i.e. after, say 50/100/150 appearances, same with international caps(1/10/20) etc. -
Totally agree
-
thought he had 2 years on his contract, or is it Carr. definately one of them has.

mayhem in the East stand (probably other areas as well) last night, season ticket holders who had taken up the offer found people sat in their seats with valid tickets. Stewards didn't have a clue what to do about it, people ended up just trying to find empty seats at kick off.
-
IIRC it was posted in another thread that the club said they would not help you while you are called the "Ultra's". just a thought, but maybe the club are waiting until the name is changed before replying. By changing the name you show the club that you are a serious about wanting to help change the atmosphere in the ground. p.s. you were missed in lvl 7, had to put up with pissed up kids all night, who were more interested in having a go at the Barnsley fans than supporting the team. consequently one of them got thrown out before kick off.
-
not sure 4-3-3 is here to stay, may find that we play 4-4-2 on wednesday with Enrique at left back and Charlie as the left winger. I don't think we have had the players available to play any other system effectively.

Other clubs' transfer deadline day discussion
geordie2000 replied to GeordieDazzler's topic in Football
Everton did say that a deal would only be done for the full rights to him, because he is owned by a third party also. the 6mil was only for half of him. -
the price rises are for this year as well, season tickets went up in price twice this season. so, whether you buy your ticket now or in 10 months time you will be paying at least the current price, quite possibly more. I already put the money into a savings account and don't earn anywhere near £15 pound in interest a year. so, I will be one of the ones who signs up to this deal. . . . . I was going to go to the Barnsley match anyway, however I tend to take a couple of other people to cup matches, so it will be interesting to see if I can swap seats for cup matches.

i'm sure sam doesnt have to tell him if he cannot walk - even barton cannot be that stupid... remember he is a footballer, and they are not renowned for their intelligence. not saying he had to be told, but you never know.
-
any info on his supposed injury?
-
ok, thought he had said 45 minutes. but thinking about it again, i seem to remember him saying 30 minutes.
