1. He doesn't win anywhere near enough headers for his size, certainly not enough to become the 'outlet' you talk of. That more clear? Watch the villa footage, see how many he wins to justify being brought on 'because they were killing us in the air'. From the stands, I counted 0. Could be wrong.

He was giving a talk at the city library. I say 'giving a talk', it was a debate about a new building project him and Giggs are trying to get passed. It's being met with lots of resistance from locals and he's having to try to talk them round.
3. Maybe you're right. Just seemed a tad odd to me, more so because I watched him warm up for pretty much the entire 45 mins.
4. Have you been reading the Chronicle? http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitezs-decision-leave-aleksandar-12046018 IMO, he wasn't used because he wasn't needed. If it was still 0-0 at 65/70 minutes then we'd have seen him. But we were controlling the game and didn't need to change anything which is why the subs came on late. He'll have a part to play this season, but he cant drop Gayle when he is scoring so many goals. Aye, he was brought on against Norwich becuase we needed to break them down and against Rotherham becuase they'd won about 40 corners. Probably the same thinking against Villa too as they were killing us in the air for the last 20 minutes. He gives us an outlet to hit when under pressure as well. 2-0 up against Barnsley he's probably thinking the pace of Atsu, Diame and Gayle can get in behind. He's got to start winning headers to become that outlet you mention.

I didn't say drop gayle, it's obvious he can't at the minute, but the game was won and he'd warmed up for the majority of the second half. Why not stick him on if he likes him? Hard to see where his game time will come from imo. Don't think rafa feels he can trust him and that can only change with game time. Game time he isn't getting.
6. spoke volumes that he wasn't used at all last night imo. Can't see much of a future at rafa's nufc for him unless something dramatically changes.
7. Superb tonight. Best player on the park by a distance.

Don't think Allardyce would go back. He'd he mad to. He was apparently getting frustrated at lack of transfer activity before England came calling, can't see him heading back there like.
10. One defeat in 12 in all comps. 10 of those wins. Long may it continue.

Didn't have the decency to resign. f*** him. Always funny! I know. As if anyone would walk away from a massive payout. http://b.smimg.net/13/35/ruud-gullit.jpg fair point, but those that do are in the massive minority. Hence I never get how anyone expects a manager to do it. I've many things to hold a grudge with mcclaren over, 'not having the decency to resign' isnt one of them.

i wasn't talking about that bit to be fair, i was on about the part in bold. I agree, fuck him, he was total shit, but i don't blame him for not resigning. I wouldn't have walked either.

back at derby according to sky.
16. Couldn't agree more. I'd swap Rafa to be me dad, and Keegan to be my mad uncle. It's getting a bit RAWK in here, HawK. Well don't just stand there and gawk. Get stuck in, go on, grab a fawk
17. More a case of him wanting a specific job in this country imo.
18. Eh? Has he played for psv yet?
19. Exactly the same. Took them upstairs at 1-0, came down to see we've conceded at half time again. Bastard

nah. England worked out perfectly for him, he was apparently fed up with lack of transfers/funds. the mackems are fucked man, he won't go back there. my opinion is, if he loses his england job now (dont think he will), stoke or west brom will be his next stop.
21. I've been his biggest supporter, but it's put up or piss off time. Thought he was pretty disgraceful when he came on today.
22. I agree, think he came across pretty well tbh.
