Does your lass agree with you?
-
It's like being a kid at Christmas at the minute.
-
The club would rather have 52,000 people shouting to get the team through to the next round of the cup than 30,000 paying a higher price, I wouldn't worry too much about the prices for now, I expect that they'll not be too bad.
-
I'm not sure how much price comes into it, if you want to go then you'll pay the £35, it's not even the price of a night on the beer or a sit down meal.
-
I'm sure he did ask for some technology but was told that he couldn't have it.
-
I'd expand on that, I think we've waited a long time for this setup, it's so refreshing.
-
I think I remember you saying that you'd been to one.

Sir Bobby went mad about our training facilities, he was forever complaining about being unable to do anything during the colder months when the ground was frozen and he as forever complaining about having players training amongst pot holes.
-
I doubt we do too much that would be classed as secretive, how many players have moved away from Bolton or Newcastle while he's been here? They could even open it up while the players have a kick about or something, it wouldn't have to be the full training session.
-
Could this be one of the ideas put to the club? I would think that it's an easy one to do and the costs would be very low unless they had to police it, even then I'm sure they could make some cash out of it if they opened a club shop or something outside the training ground.
-
What would stop it from happening? I can't see any reason for it not being allowed as long as it was controlled.
-
I agree with that, the PR would be excellent, the kids love going to watch the players train during the holidays.
-
I suppose somebody had to spoil the thread.
-
More good stuff, if you ask me, all pointing to a more professional approach from the management - something we've been sorely lacking for as long as I can remember. I honestly can't think of anything negative coming out of the club, the transformation has been as massive as it's been overdue.

I think standing would bring back a lot of atmosphere because people would find it much easier to form groups of friends, if a few started to sing then people could move to that area to do the same. Before we had an all seater St James' Park most of the people who wanted to sing grouped together in the Leazes and the Gallowgate, you can't do that when you're stuck to sitting in a seat a long way away from your mates.
-
I don't have a problem with the streamers, I think it will look brilliant if they're all thrown at the same time. Regarding the grey seats, Boro have got a few spare red ones that they don't need.
-
Agreed, at least the club are trying to do something about the atmosphere when so many are complaining about how much the ground resembles a library these days. The club know we’ll have a better chance of winning if the ground is jumping and they are trying to do something about it. Personally, I don’t have a problem with this, I’m a bit surprised that anybody is bothered about it.

Have West Ham got rid of him already?

I must admit I liked Dyer when he was playing to the best of his ability but my problem was that he didn't do it often enough. He's wasted a lot of potential and he'll probably look back at it in 10 years with regret. Refusing to play on the right wing is beyond forgiveness, especially when a few days later he was more than happy to play left wing for England. I would have been happy if he'd stayed but I'm just as happy, possibly more so that he's gone and we've got a very good price for him.
-
I don't think anybody on here knows the answer at this time.
-
If we play to our potential and keep our players fit then I can see us finishing 5th and I said that before we beat Bolton, I think 4th is too much for now but you never know.

The bits from the Chronicle that suited me were direct quotes from Allardyce and it was from the Journal so if I do ridicule the Chronicle this wouldn't effect that. As for the bit from the Times, I'm hardly going to have a go at the club for possibly not doing something while they can still do it. If Allardyce comes out and says that he would have been given more cash if the club hadn't changed ownership then I'll comment, not before.
-
If we were wrong to not take the £6 million for Dyer we'll know by the end of the window and not before. I agree about what you've said about Dyer and we'll find out later if it was a mistake.

I'm not pretending to be an ITK, I've been told something that I have taken at face value, it may be true, it may not. I have no reason to think that the person has said anything other than what he thinks is true. What have you heard?
