I really hope the highlighted bit is bullshit but I wouldn't be surprised.

You can put you life on it that I go back at them although going back at the Sheff Wed fan wasn't easy. I couldn't remember much until Sir Bobby came to mind, it did shut him up when I muttered the score.
-
The new shirt is horrible, I can't remember a worse Newcastle home shirt than that, it's almost as bad as that horrible blue denim thing a few years ago.
-
Or Roeder. I don't know how much stick people away from Newcastle are getting but I'm getting quite a bit. I do. I live in Birmingham and people think we are a joke at the minute I spend a bit of time near you and have had stick off Villa, Birmingham, Wolves, Derby, Man U and Liverpool fans, the worst though was a Sheff Wed fan taking the piss on Monday night in the pub.
-
I can't comment on the reaction to Wilkinson getting the mackem job as I wasn't away from home at the time. People are taking the piss out of the Roeder appointment and not mentioning badges.

How far will you go to defend Shepherd? He appointed managers who had won things and it didn't work so he thought he'd appoint s**** as that might work. bluelaugh.gif bluelaugh.gif That really is one of the best laughs I've had in ages, thanks. on the contrary, what is most laughable is people - like you - who think anything other than anti Shepherd/board comments is "defending them". I'm not defending anybody. I'm just looking at both sides of the coin, and trying to be balanced about it. Other clubs have made far worse appointments, and whats more you know it. Unless you are foolish enough to think that every club should appoint managers who are successful. mackems.gif I expect you will say next that when I say that only 4 clubs have qualified for europe more than us in the past decade, and we finished in the top 5 for 3 consecutive years for the first time in half a century to be "defending the board" ? BTW, your comment isn't what I said at all....not that I expected people like you to misinterpret it or be daft enough not to understand I don't claim to give a balanced view of Shepherd, that's not possible when his record of under-achievement is so one sided. You don't give a balanced view as you see no wrong in him, you even excuse his last two appointments, it's laughable.

I'm no fan of Allardyce but he pisses all over Roeder, I agree about going beyond the CV.

OK, name them.

Tbh they didnt move from there chairs all 2nd half, We were getting dominated yet Roeder didnt have a clue how to change things. Aye, as far as I'm concerned, Roeder has two touchline poses. Sat on a seat not knowing what the f*** to do, or standing with his hands in his pockets not knowing what the f*** to do. I suppose at least Pearson's lying down shows he has a bit more variety in his not knowing what the f*** to do poses.
-
Send him one.
-
The only thing running through Shepherds head is the wax which flows from one ear to the other when he tilts his head, he's got nowt between his lugs.
-
Last night was shocking, Roeder bottled it with his team selection and did nothing to get it right. Playing with one winger was beyond a joke. I wonder if Shepherd fancies giving his mobile number out as that I can text him and tell him what to do with his manager.
-
didnt he mean metaphorically wiping arses with a daily mirror Of course, he is slow.
-
Ah well, at least we now know you own a mirror.
-
on another note, ref you earlier post where you said this " he has watered down his Pro Shepherd views considerably " its a shame that you think anyone who doesn't have distinct anti-board views, to the extent they can't give credit for anything and foolishly think any replacement will automatically be better, like you and others do, is "pro - board" - because I would like a better board, better players and better anything for the club as much as anyone - but the simple fact is I point out what the board have done for the club, how much better placed we are in comparison to where they found us, and really it is your problem if you are unable to see this or even to believe it when it is pointed out to you. Are you asking for new owners here http://www.newcastle-online.com/the-joining-of-east-and-west/ ?

or Alan Kennedy, or kenny Wharton, Wes Saunders ..... Or you could have read the first post in the thread and realised why non of the players you mentioned were included. I'm not sure Kenny Wharton could be classed as having come through the Youth Ranks, he signed for Newcastle from Grainger Park Boys Club and went straight into the reserves. I can't remember him playing at any level lower than the reserves.
-
Flattering or not, the players didn't roll over and nobody moaned about being tired.
-
The point is that the players were supposed to be tired after playing less than 48 hours earlier, I guess. We've done it plenty of times and won, it used to be normal at holiday periods, we've also done it and lost.
-
Post them if you think they have anything to do with the thread, no doubt it will be copy and paste..
-
In 2001 we played 3 games in 6 days and won the last 2, the last of those 3 games was away to Arsenal and we won 3-1.
-
exactly, bit it won't let him ruin a rare chance for him to think he can score points over me - shame he was so desperate to do it he didn't read the post properly. Hold on a minute, you said they weren't tired.
-
Sheffield United offered to put the game back and we didn't take them up on it, its self inflicted. Most of the league games after the European games were 3 days later.
