I know what you're getting at, but I think what mainly annoys people is the persistant posting of even the slightest rumour. A rumour of a rumour, and it gets posted. People that aren't even remotely realistic or likely targets get a fair hearing here. Agreed, if it was just transfers that we were actively working on or players we had signed then it wouldn't be a pain.

Another last post to me. bluebiggrin.gif What I wish for the club is for us to do better than we currently are and to stop seeing the name of the club dragged through the mud because of our chairman. Another bite, why not show who the chairman was for those seasons then so that we can really compare Shepherd against those. He's taken us back 15 league places since he took over so lets see how many of those had such a negative affect. Most will have taken us backwards, I doubt many will be -15 places and that's what we should be looking at, Shepherd hasn't relegated us yet but he's come very close. You say you weren't trying to make Freddy look good, what was your point as you didn't explain that and just expected people to read your mind?

Where have I said I'm against signing big money signings? I'm only against doubling the price we pay for an injury prone striker when the money could have been spent in a way that would have done more for the team. Liverpool bid £8 million so we should have gone in at £9 million, not £16 or £17 million. If we have to pay record fee's for people because they will improve the side and we'll get value for money then it's the right thing to do. No I'm not going to explain that, it was Shepherd not taking notice of his manager, the manager who brought Shepherd his best 3 seasons while being given the least amount of money per season since Ardilles was manager and right up to this day. Agreed, although i think sbr sacking was just! I agree about the sacking being just, he should have been sacked for 3rd, 4th and 5th, we wouldn't be where we are today if we hadn't sacked him, we've never looked back since.
