Ben Arfa sitting on the bench is in no way inhibiting him.
-
The East and West paddocks could probably just be lifted out as they were added after the stands.
-
Christ, I was expecting to type RIP when I saw his name. He was brilliant for us, pity he was taken out of football so early in his career here.
-
Looking too much into what our manager talks about is pathetic, what does that say about a Newcastle fan looking into what the Villa manager talks about?
-
The comparison between me spending 20 minutes this morning looking at Ben Arfa's passing and him spending his life on here is what I was referring to though. Given that he said I'M the one that needs to get a life.
-
My first posts in weeks because I'm at work during the quietest time of the year. When was the last day you didn't post on here, even in your own time? Why ask a question you can answer yourself? You're nuts man, trying to prove something about a player with a graph, bonkers.
-
During the week he was still banging on about having too many games last season because of Europe, he's full of shit.
-
That's one interpretation. I don't think it fits the repeating trend we see with Ben Arfa though. His pass/touch percentages.... http://i44.tinypic.com/30m5ycj.jpg He plays a few games in a row and reverts to his natural style of doing it all himself. Pardew then intervenes and hammers it in his head to pass. He comes back and pases more than the game that led to him being dropped...but soon goes back to what he wants to do if he keeps getting on the field which is everything himself. The pattern becomes more pronounced as the season goes on and he gets frustrated at not playing (especially after a good performance), but I don't think the end product we saw in one game against 9 men has led to any greater or lesser amount of greed, it's just the way he'll always be. Get a life.
-
I'd take the money every time, even if it is lower than the percentage.
-
I guess we just have different expectations of him.
-
He wasn't as bad as the rest, he just wasn't as effective against 11 as he was against 9.
-
I'm not disagreeing totally but I though we missed him in the first half against Stoke, he's good at breaking play up but he also breaks it up for us when he tries things he's not capable of getting away with.
-
I didn't see all of those options on MoTD for Ben Arfa when he made all of those poor decisions.
-
No, 89 and I've counted twice to make sure.
-
I can see 89 of those from my seat when they're showing them on the electronic boards around the pitch.
-
They haven't got a pot to p*ss in man. they also have a far superior youth set up and the club isn't run on the whims of a madman and instead with someone who actually thinks about what he's doing before he does it. How do they have a "have a far superior youth set up"? I'm not sure what Ashley has done recently to cause Pardew any problems off the pitch, he was rightly under pressure at the start of the season and lucky to still be here.
-
They haven't got a pot to piss in man.
-
I hope you're right but it isn't the first time he's put the club down.
-
Agreed, he's had time to do something to change it and I've seen nothing to suggest that he has.
-
Go on then, list the clubs in the Premiership who are bigger.
-
to achieve it regularily will require a lot more than just a decent first team. Sides like Everton and Spurs are light years ahead of us in every regard off the field. Until work is done to improve everything about the club from the first team down to how we train kids in the academy then any achievement like this or 5th will be fleeting successes as teams with a lot more cash and cl football pick apart our side at will. Bollocks.
-
Who was he winding up? I didn't see it so you might be right.
-
I find it hard to disagree with any of those points considering what a circus the club is off the field That's smoke and mirrors. The money somebody has had to spend matters not one bit as we've got some very good players who we've brought in on the cheap. If spending money was all that you have to do, Souness wouldn't have been sacked here after spending something like £50 million. Our youth system has been here since long before Pardew turned up so he's had over 3 years to do something with it and so far we've seen nothing, how does that work in his favour? Pardew was under pressure at the start of the season and rightly so after the shite he served up last year.

That's avoiding the question, where do you think we currently are size wise compared to the other clubs?
