You were more disappointed with what happened in the first half when the score was 2-1 then you were in the 2nd when the score was 0-2, OK.

Yes I do realise there can be more than one person to blame. The players were a long way from playing to the best of there ability but pulling our midfield back wasn't the way to go about sorting that out.

What excuses? Read the last few pages and you'll find plenty.

I love the excuses At half time we were 2-1 up. At half time Pardew told out midfield to drop back (that's what happens when your midfielders get closer to your defenders). Second half we let in 2 goals after inviting them on to us by surrendering midfield and we lose the game.

The game was won in the first half but we lost it in the 2nd.

Our closing down and movement off the ball was shite.

We were winning 2-1 at half time when Pardew pulled our midfielders back, the gaps between midfield and the forwards were shocking and all down to him because he's admitted it.

He's just said on the radio that he told the midfield to get closer to our defenders at half time.

We resorted to just clipping long balls from half way-ish up the pitch from about 75 minutes onwards. Once he went 4-4-2 we just hoofed, not that we played that much better 4-3-3 but it was still better. We weren't playing 3 up front, Cisse was up front on his own until we went 4-4-2.

We had no shape when we made the changes, the gaps in the middle of the park were huge.

He picked the right team, he can do no more than that. That's how it goes, isn't it?

I've heard he talks about you all of the time. Good to see you back, where you been? How man, granddad. Have you taken your pills this morning? I'm well thanks, where have you been?

Crazy. Absolutely ridiculous. Says the man who has decided never to go to another match Not while that c***'s here, no. I'm not supporting something I disagree with for £200 a time. f*** that. If that's an overreaction to 5 years of contempt as a reward, so be it. £200 a time? Where yee travelling from, SPACE?! It could easily cost £200 to see us play if somebody s driving up alone. My old car would get me to the midlands and back for 2 tanks of patrol which would be £140 now. Add the cost of the ticket, some food and drink and you're somewhere around £200.
  14. Why would anybody overreact? We're a small club with no money and we're not a sovereign state.

Pardew is a total knacker, I have no idea what he's up to with these comments other than he's as thick as pig shit, I hate him with a passion.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Have I got this right? When Pardew was shouting "Hatem, get back" he actually meant "Hatem, get in the box." At least that's clear now.
  19. It wasn't much of a mistake, he tried to come out and claim the ball but couldn't get passed a couple of Villa players between him and Benteke. He did what a keeper will normally do but on this occasion claiming the ball wasn't possible. Making the judgement of whether to come or stay, and getting it wrong, is a mistake. I haven't said that it wasn't a mistake, I just don't think it was too bad. He had a decision to make and he made the same decision most keepers would have made and the result would have been the same no matter who the keeper was.
  20. Long balls are OK when you've got people to make the most of them. And no, his game wasn't about running onto them, it was just one of his strengths.
  21. Macdonald had loads of power and that was seen when he scored against Burnley in the FA Cup and was getting dragged back by his shirt, or at least it was an attempt to drag him back but it made no difference. He just kept on going as if nothing was happening and still scored.
  22. He did against Arsenal on his full debut.
  23. I'd probably put Malcolm Macdonald in third and Andy Cole 4th. Les Ferdinand had virtually everything and the only thing Shearer had over him was that he didn't need as many shots to get his goals. Ferdinand looked like he would need 3, 4 or 5 shots to get a goal and Shearer looked like he needed 2 shots at most to get a goal early on before his injuries.
  24. Les Ferdinand is in the top 2 best forwards I've seen at Newcastle and he's only beaten to first by a player who was here long enough to claim the clubs goal scoring record.

No, the sceptics were right, the sympathisers are wrong.
