So he didn't want more, he just wouldn't accept less.

How do you get that from the quotes?
  3. Rob Lee is one of the best midfielders I've seen at the club, others have had more skill but I can't think of any that is a better all round player when you consider cost, goals and number of games played. Rob Lee was absolutely exceptional. He really should have got more caps for England really. I loved the way he adapted his game under Robson as well. He wasn't too shabby under Sir Bobby, especially for a player who was written off and not given a squad number.

His words are fairly emphatic from what I can see.

He said we did agree and then we went back on an agreement. I look forward to the club denial if that's not the case. That could easily mean we agreed his wages but not his agent/s commission on top. I can't see the club issuing a denial either, for the same reason. How could it possibly mean what you're saying? How could agreeing to something then going back on it cover what you're trying to make out? The quote again 'Lyon and Newcastle agreed a fee of €8m plus €2m bonuses but then Newcastle went back on my agreement w/ them.'

He's claiming that we went back on an agreement.

"Newcastle went back on my agreement w/ them" seems fairly straight forward to work out.
  10. We will always find a reason to turn up, next round it will be a different reason but we'll find one.

    George Caulkin

At least we now know what he thinks about his work being hidden.
  12. I think the players would understand what was going on.
  13. Ashley does what he wants because he knows we'll still turn up. I don't think he'll sell up because of a one off boycott but I do think it will make him think about what he's doing.
  14. He does, he hated when the fans were singing "Fat Cockney Bastard" and he'll hate a boycott because he'll know it's against him.

It was deleted from here but Caulkin is telling everybody how to read it. George Caulkin ‏@CaulkinTheTimes 2m Psst. Don't tell anyone, but that #Nufc blog I wrote last week is here if you wish to read it. http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/34543-george-caulkins-new-piece/ …
  16. I disagree, I'm not saying it will change anything over night but it will send a message to Ashley that the fans are no longer going to bend over and take it. At the minute he will think/know he can piss all over us and we'll thank him for it.
  17. You don't see possible long term gain over short term pain? I could understand that stance if we were going into a semi-final but not this early in a competition we'll probably screw up in anyway.
  18. So do I, the game is for charity and that's all that should matter.
  19. People are fooled because they want to be, we all want everything to be perfect and live in hope that things will turn out for the best. I told my wife to cancel my season ticket when we appointed Kinnear and thought that she had until I was handed a season ticket a week before the season started. In a way I'm glad that she didn't cancel it but I'm thinking about what to do in February when its decision time again. I know Ashley has and will again take the piss and I honestly don't know what to do because other than the football, I like going to the match. What I don't like doing is contributing to our current plight and I know I'm doing that if I renew. In a way, I wish it was a financial decision where I was struggling to pay for the ticket but it's not and that makes it more difficult. It's dead easy for you to say that some cannot or will not face it because you're miles away and don't really have a choice. For people in or around the area it's not easy because they have an attachment to the club. I would back some kind of action as long as it was going to be effective and not just me sitting at home while 50,000 plus still turn up. I would love to see everybody stay outside until after kick-off when we're televised and maybe go in 10 or 15 minutes after the game started or everybody turn away from the pitch and do something symbolic. Staying away is unlikely to work because some will always go and a lot will do it because of some kind of super fan mentality. They seen to think they're better than others who don’t go simply because they do go. You can see it on here and everywhere else, we have some fans that have no foresight, they can’t see anything more long term than today.

    Alan Pardew

From Keegan and Shearer to Pardew, that hurts.
  21. I can only guess it's going to the club.

John Beresford ‏@JohnBeresford3 2h Ashley out, Pardew reads from a script and Joe Kinnear couldn't even tie his own laces! #OverTheLine
  23. Who has taken the money? Was it the club or SD?
