Agreed, I'm not sure he can put things right but recognising where he went wrong is a start.
-
I hope to hear "Fat Cockney Bastard" again this season, it may not be factually correct but that doesn't matter because it gets to him.
-
I'm not going to try and work out how long I've been watching Newcastle, in all of that time I can't remember ever feeling more negative about and towards the club. Things didn't even seem as bad when we were in danger of going down into the 3rd division as they do now.
-
I still haven't seen a single minute of a single episode and never will.
-
Just Shola, every cloud...
-
An outsider would think that we're not spending enough time working on the defence.
-
The people who think Pardew can improve us are nuts, he's a one trick pony, if he actually has a trick. If we're going to improve it will either come from the players or it will be with another manager. To go into a pre-season friendly and play the way that failed us so badly last season should be a reason on it's own to sack him. The result from today is totally meaningless, what we did during the game isn't.
-
We've been working on how to get the ball out of defence as quickly as possible, so far we've learned how to get the ball from our box to the centre-circle three times without even touching the ball.
-
So far it looks like last seasons problems are rolling over into this one, freindly or not, the problems at this stage seem to be the same ones.

Leon Best was crap, better than Shola but crap and people would be going ape-shit if he was still with us. He hasn't scored a goal since January 2012, partially because of injury, partially beacuse he's crap. 1 goal in 13 games or 2 in 25 games is what you would expect from a defender or midfielder, not a forward.

I'm staggered that you're staggered.

So Barclays charge you for taking money you have no right to take? No doubt Wonga pay people to take money off them.
-
Were Wonga in a position to fix LIBOR? Were Wonga in a position to lie about it's insurance products? I've just checked Barclays and Wonga to see what they are charging for loans. At Barclays it costs you £102.42 to borrow £1000 for a year, at Wonga it costs you £127.15 to borrow £400 for 30 days. If you're going to compare companies to Wonga it might be better if you compare them like for like instead of praising one for not doing something it wasn't capable of doing.
-
This is the bitch. In an average job the employer would be well within his rights to terminate the employees contract, but that's obviously never gonna happen here. Cisse hasn't refused to wear our shirt, he's refused to advertise Wonga.
-
He'll be seen as endorsing Wonga if he wears our shirt.

The club don't need to do anything by the looks of it. Disagree. If he leaves there'll be a rare statement from the club (probably to SDnews - the bastion of fine sports reporting). I didn't mean that they wouldn't, it was more to do with the need to say anything. It looks like quite a few fans conveniently think Barclays and Virgin are the same as a company with 4 figure interest rates.

Motherwell 2 - 4 Newcastle United (FT) Post game euphoria from pg 19
Mick replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
We made a team look ordinary who last weekend drew 0-0 with Doncaster, things are starting to look up. -
Another Londoner at the club, it's almost as if it's a job requirement these days.
-
Pathetic if true, we've turned into a right s*** club.

I'm glad that it wasn't only me who was pissed off at that comment. My only hope is that Kinnear does see him out of the door and isn't interested in the job and tries to replace Pardew with whoever is the best that we can get, rather than who is out of work and sitting by a phone.
