They were still wins, 2 of the defeats for Pardew were against Stevenage and Brighton.

I'd expect a 6 year old would have made the tackle that Simpson didn't, I also think a 6 year old wouldn't have turned his back on a ball at shin height like Williamson did.

I don't rate him as highly as others but I can understand most things from today other than the substitution and they potentially are the reason why we are out of the cup. I can't get my head around how they were supposed to change the game and why wait so long to make them? Pardew has been lucky at times, Shola against Spurs being an obvious one but most of the time they are the wrong people coming on/off or are too late, sometimes both.

That happens in most tackles, if that tackle is to be deemed dangerous then just about every tackle should be.
