We can't afford to give them a run, Best was given something of a run last season in an easier league and did nothing. I know it’s sometimes too easy to write players off but I can't see the point of either being at the club now. It would probably be better for both if they were given a fresh start somewhere else. Unfortunately I think Xisco will be here until his contract either runs out or is paid up as he went out on loan last season and did very little back in Spain.

So what's the point of keeping them if they never play?

Are Guthrie and Lovenkrands our only options?

Giving them a break at a later date will not give them more stamina/fitness on Wednesday. They could both play well but so far playing them too often in a short space of time hasn’t worked out like that and I'd rather not carry passengers in an important game.

I almost got to post #100 before closing my browser. Both clubs have won nothing and both sets of fans deserve better than that when you consider some of the shit clubs that have had better recent histories than both of us. Having said that, we're obviously bigger than them but does it matter?

Jordan has gone, he went earlier last year when Palace went into admin. If you remember they went from pushing for a play off place to fighting against relegation last season around the time we played them.

Simpson does back off at times and he also defends on the halfway line at times, which I like to see. He's young and learning, he's got the basics and will learn with more games.

I think you need to give Lovenkrands a run of games to get the best out of him, that's what happened last season when he was a late starter, I'm not sure he'll get a run of games though.

Who is slaggin Lovenkrands? I think he's a capable and reliable squad player who will get us goals, I don't think he's the future though.

What has he done? Did you see the Liverpool game? He came on and totally changed the game, he didn't score but he did as much as anybody to get those points. Honestly, you look as if you're clutching at straws in an attempt to put him down.
