Capello will learn more about his players during this tournament than he'll have done before the World Cup. We'll be much stronger as a national team after this because I'm sure he'll react once he's had time to go over what's happened. You learn more about people when they are under pressure, some people react positively to pressure while others act like pricks and cave in, too many have caved in.

I hope the manager wins on this one and I hope that Terry never plays for England again. I'd rather see Robert Green playing in his position than him. Capello should tell him to piss off, he'd send the right message out to the other players if nothing else. I hope that the FA get right behind the manager because he’s the best chance we’ve got of doing anything in the near future.

I can't remember the first penalty against Cameroon but the 2nd was a certainty when the keeper took Lineker out. I thought that we were miles better than the lucky Germans and were getting better as the tournament went on. I also think Beardsley played well in the tournament and as far as I can remember.
-
I thought that he also played well at Italia '90, we would have probably won that tournament if it wasn't for a shitty deflected goal against Germany or our inability to score from the spot in the same game.
-
I thought that he was brilliant for England and Gary Lineker agrees with me as he said that Beardsley was the best partner he could ever have. Beardsley totally changed us in the Mexico World Cup and we were going out until he was played and helped Lineker become the tournaments highest scorer, we hadn't scored in our first two games. We'd have won both of our games in this tournament if we'd had a Beardsley playing.
-
Are you saying Beardsley didn't transfer his club form to the international team?

Make the goals bigger, that way teams will attack more as they have a better chance of scoring and will not want to sit back as they will be in more danger.

The players don't seem to have the bottle to win games so far and I don't see how Capello can be blamed for that. The players train together so I doubt that he just throws them together a couple of hours before the start of a game, even if that's when he tells them that they are playing. The players have played well for Capello until recently, they've just got to the tournament and bottled it so far.
-
The players have shown that they are not good enough to at least get to the quarters so far.
-
Getting rid of the manager is pointless, the players aren't good enough.

We boo the opposition national anthems, I'd rather hear a buzzing sound than booing.

It'll pick up once the group stage is out of the way and you have to win to go through.

This world cup has gone the same way as many before it so far, I don't think the Vuvuzela has done anything to the standard of football.
-
I think you're right, I don't mind listening to it on TV but I'm not sure how keen I'd be to sit in front of somebody who was blowing one.
-
It's not even just the Africans who are using them, according to some of the reports I've seen half of the England fans had them at our game.
-
I can't understand how these are giving people problems, I think they've added an atmosphere to games which wouldn't have had any.

I lived in Scotland during the 2002 Football WC and the 2003 Rugby WC and they were wearing Argentina and Australia shirts.

 Remind them that the might USA are ranked 14th by FIFA while the mighty Scotland are ranked 1 place below Gabon. You'll probably need this link for them http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=gabon&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Gabon&z=6

Aye, Harper is the only footballer who has ever fallen over during a game.
-
It was probably David James.
