  1. I don't know why we have to make a comparison on Keegan V Bobby, they were both brilliant for this club and nothing is going to change that. I do think Keegan has contributed to our problems this season by walking out but that doesn’t change what he’s done here before, both as player and manager. Keegan as a player then manager first time around and Bobby here as manager, I'd have any of those periods again if the choice was available.
  2. Agreed, I don't think they'll find it easy and I'm not sure what will happen when they reach a second deadline for paying RBS what they are owed.
  3. He was at number 25 on this list over a year ago. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/2954887/Most-influential-Americans-in-the-UK-30-to-21.html
  4. A year ago his estimated wealth was less than what Ashley is worth now, £550 million. I don't know how far down the pecking order the Forbes Rich list goes.
  5. No but I do know that he's having financial issues and his NASCAR team are costing him a fortune and having to cut costs due to a lack of cash coming in.
  6. I hope Spurs do keep chopping and changing because I think that is holding them back.
  7. Where is George Gillett going to get the money from?
  8. Look at what you get: http://www.shepherdoffshore.com/warehousing/warehousing.htm Excellent, you get a Fork Lift Truck and a PC for over £300,000. You can buy a FLT for less than £10,000 a PC for about £300.
  9. "But I am still proud of my legacy." From 2nd to 13th in the league and from having cash to £100m debt.
  10. You said that he was the only deal, you didn't say you were only referring to Coloccini.
  11. You said we limited our search to Spain, if you didn't actually mean that then how was I to know?
  12. Where in Spain did Guthrie and Bassong come from?
  13. OK, I understand, because I don't know of anybody else then we mustn't have had any other targets.
  14. Player amortisation isn't a paper loss, if we buy a player for £10 million over 4 years then it's shown on the accounts as £2.5 million per year. We could also be paying the transfer fee over the whole period of the contract. As for how others can afford transfers, no idea other than they're probably borrowing and have a surplus between money coming in and money going out. We've got no room to borrow as we have more going out than coming in so we have nothing to pay a loan back with.
  15. We paid £10 million for an international defender, I hardly think he was overpriced. As for being a panic buy, we signed him in early August and have been after him for more than a month.
  16. At the minute we go and watch a match in hope that we'll win and move up the league. Once you're relegated you just go through the motions. I don't know how old you are, if you're old enough to remember when Rob Lee scored against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, it's the opposite to that.
  17. You don't need to but you can't tell me that you enjoyed going down, I can't think of anything which has got close to it for being as bad, not football related anyway.
  18. Going down would be an absolute nightmare, I've been through it and it's about as bad as it gets.
  19. Wrong thread although it isn't that obvious.
