He's doing it 4 times this season, first and last home games plus the mackems and smoggies unless he was already booked for any of those dates before the fixtures came out.
I would go with a very positive side against Bolton and look to blow them away.
Given
Beye Coloccini Taylor Enrique
Gutierrez Butt Guthrie N'Zogbia
Owen Martins
I don't think Bolton could live with that side attacking them and I don't think that we would have to do much defending if we get straight at them. I would be happy to see that 11 play most games with the exception of a replacement for Butt.
The only discussion here is how stupid the press look again, how has it gone from a pay cut to a pay rise in such a short time? It just proves that you can't take anything they print seriously, not that the obvious should need saying.
Given has been a very good keeper for us, I don't think anybody would doubt that, Harper rarely gets a chance to prove how good he is but when he's been given a run of games he's played well.
Given at his best isn't streets ahead of Harper at his best, the difference is minimal and they both have strengths and weaknesses. Given has had one good game, let's see him do it week after week.
I would have picked Harper to play against Man U because I didn't think Given was capable of the performance he put in, it's a long time since he played that well and I hope he can maintain that form. I feel sorry for Harper because he's a good keeper who deserves more games than he's had here but he might be waiting a while for his next start.
I hope we do, I think we would have beaten Man U with him instead of Duff. I know it might not work but I'm confident that it would with Keegan picking the team.
