  1. I've got no problem with that but I'm also sure others who didn't turn up will have had a reason, I'm sure they will feel that the reason they have is equally valid.
  2. Agreed, he might be able to do a job coming on later in the game when pace isn't a crucial as the opposition become knackered.
  3. I thought he was very busy but offered nothing much, he wasn't our worst player today.
  4. I thought Geremi was excellent when he came on and if he'd had 90 minutes and played like that all game then he would have challenged for MOTM, and he didn't take any corners when he came on which was a plus.
  5. It looked arm to ball to me so he had time to work out what he had to do with his arm, I was at the other end of the ground but the view was clear if slightly distant.
  6. It’s interesting that somebody who didn't go to the game criticises others who didn't go.
  7. Our attendance today was only 400 less than against Bolton at home 2 years ago and nobody can deny that the finances have got a lot worse for many people this year.
  8. If Taylor had moved slightly then he would have stopped the ball with his chest, handling the ball was the last thing he needed to do and could easily have lost us the game.
  9. Taylor lets himself down for no reason, if he'd saved the ball on the line or put in a shit tackle then I would say it's just one of those things but to do what he did today tells me that he's lacking something between his ears and I'm not really a Taylor basher as I'd love him to come good. We can't keep making excuses up for him when he carries on with the cock-up's, not that you have. It’s only because of Given that Taylor only let himself down because if Given hadn’t saved the penalty then we might have been in trouble and then he’d have let all of us all down. I didn't a lack of heading ability from Coloccini but to be honest, I can't remember him heading the ball either. I was encouraged by his positional sense and the way he just oozes confidence and seems to read the game very well. I noticed a few times that he could have gone a few steps forwards and headed the ball but he did the opposite, he went a couple backwards and did the work with his feet instead and we kept possession because of it. What was refreshing to me was that I can’t remember him flapping at all during the game, it’s early days yet but I think we’ve potentially signed a classy defender.
  10. Agreed although I thought that he played better than against Man U.
  11. I think you're being far too tough on Milner, he was better than Duff and Guthrie.
  12. I doubt many £30 tickets were unsold, from what I could see the empty spaces were all in the Milburn platinum seats.
  13. I'd say Taylor handled on purpose and a few minutes later he gave the ball straight to a Bolton player right in front of our goal, Taylor was poor today when under pressure and to handle the ball when he did shows that he's not that bright because he had no reason to do it. Taylor looked OK with the ball when not under pressure but Coloccini was miles better. He didn't flap he just did everything that was asked of him and I can't remember him giving anything away. He was class in the second half when he had to defend on our left and kept the ball almost on our line, he turned the Bolton player and brought the ball out, he really did look class today, unlike our number 27. I find it hard to believe that anybody who watched the game today could put Taylor ahead of Coloccini.
  14. Agreed, I hope we are both right.
  15. Were you agreeing with him?
  16. Yes but the other lad isn't getting kicked on the ground.
  17. It would be daft bringing him on only to take him off again before half time.

    Martins

He gets paid for that shite.
  19. It would depend on who came in, we're no longer a one man band so the whole club will not change with a new manager.

    David Healy

I guess the comment was too close to home was it?
  21. It was because of the smartcards but also as Rich has said, to drum up business after the first free drink.
