I've said it before and I'll say it again, Keegan and our mad football club were made for each other. I don't know if he can do a better job this time because he was so good the first time and would have to win something to do that. If anybody can take this club to a trophy then it's the man we have at the club now. What I do know is that if he fails then it will not be for the want of trying and I don't think that he will fail because he's got more experience this time. I doubt he'll suffer from pressure because he knows that he's at home at the club. He knows what we want and he knows how to deliver what we want and that our expectations aren't to win anything although he'll know we would love to. What we expect and what we would like are two different things and he knows that so will not buckle if we have a bad run because we'll come out of it. I don't think Keegan gives a shit about the media, what he does give a shit about is this club, the people who work for him and more than anything, the fans and that doesn't bring pressure. When a manager knows us as well as he does then the jobs as easy as any in football. It's only a hard job when you don't know the club or the fans. Keegan seems happier at the club then I’ve seen him in a very long time, even when here for the first time as manager and I think we’ll only gain from that. I think he's probably happier now than he has been since we lost that lead for the championship and I get a feeling that he really does feel that he has unfinished business at this club. I've always defended Keegan because of what he's done and I trust him to do everything he can for us, even if it doesn't work, I know he'll not have been able to do more for us. I really think this is his last job in management (not in football) and I can't think of a more fitting way for him to bow out than to achieve something here. I'm not sure how to put anything into words to do him any justice other than to say the above but he's better than I've said.

It was the last competitive game before Man U.

What a difference a year makes.
-
Everton away last season.
-
That's also the way that I saw it.

Of course Keegan could be taking the piss out of the media when saying he knew nothing of Gutierrez, I'm sure he knows how to use sarcasm.

Nicky Butt hasn't become atrocious all of a sudden, I wouldn't even go as far as saying that he's atrocious at all but he was the worst player in our team today and did what he usually does, he gave away posession while under little or no pressure. It's nothing new as he does it far too often, the difference today was the number of times he could have handed Man U a win when others around him were trying to get the points for us.
-
Have we got potential buyers viewing the forum? Just in case, Butt was righty given MOTM.
-
Butt and Duff were worse than N'Zogbia.
-
Nicky Butt could have given them 3 or 4 goals from his sloppy play, he's the weakest link in the team we put out today. He's the first player I would be looking to replace from the starting 11.

How do people know she is a mackem?
-
They've signed Amdy Faye, they'll go down.

The thread was made for Skirge.
-
I'm more used to people expecting the worst on here, somebody going the opposite way seems strange.
-
The fat bloke will be brought in when we play the mackems and possibly Boro along with the last home game of the season.

I don't think anybody is suggestion that we worship Paisley, the fans of the club he managed are having something erected in recognition of the job he performed for them and I think good on them for doing it, he was one of the best managers this country has produced.
-
I think he did a brilliant job for them and I can't think of any reason not to respect him. I'm certainly not going to have a go at somebody who I can't ever remember doing anything other than good.
-
That's up to you but not all of us agree with you. Why do you have zero respect for Paisley?
-
Give over, you're just looking daft.
-
It's a football related post in a football forum so this is the right place to post it.
-
The reaction to the original post is a bit stupid, Paisley did a brilliant job for them and they've marked that with something in his home town. I think they should be applauded, not taken the piss out of. I think they feel the same way about him as we do about Bobby who didn't do nearly as much for us as Paisley did for them.

Tht's a good tribute, well done.

All very true.
