  1. The amount of time some of our fans spend on self pity and panicking is ridiculous. We've had a few bad games pre-season but when you look at the reasons then it's no big deal. We've got enough players out to make a better 11 than the one we're fielding at the minute but I bet if we were playing competitive games then we'd have at least half of the injured playing. Keegan has said that he's not risking players and why should he? As far as I'm concerned we have a better defence than last season, we've got a better midfield and the same front line which was scoring goals when they had to at the back end of last season. Some people are looking at results of friendlies and acting as if we're losing points, get a grip, we're playing for match fitness and those fit enough are gaining that. I’d love to see another forward come in who can offer something different to those that we already have and I’d love to see creativity brought into the centre of midfield and I’m sure they will. The moaners really need to get a grip because you look daft, we’ve brought in 2 internationals (when the second signs) who play for one of the top countries in world football and we’ve brought in a promising kid who will either develop and become a good player or will act as cover. We’ve also brought in Bassong who looks like he’s got something about him and at worst will add valuable cover in defence. Some of our fans act like spoiled kids who don’t get what they want at Christmas.
  2. I'll probably go to the game but if Smith is playing then I'll give it a miss as I can't stand watching him getting paid to do nothing for 90 minutes. I'd rather pay to watch a bunch of kids kicking a ball around than watch this poor excuse for a professional footballer. If we are down to the bones then I'd rather pay to watch Harper play up front because at least he'd try, unlike this waste of space. I have no problem with him as a person but as a footballer, no thanks.
  3. I wonder how the press get out of that one, it should be interesting which is more than can be said for the original bull shit.
  4. You didn't really type that did you? Could you explain this http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=54601.msg1417201#msg1417201 And this http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=54601.msg1417163#msg1417163
  5. One or two in the team wouldn't be that bad, as long as the one or two doesn't include Duff or Smith.
  6. I've probably spent too much time reading posts by the Nut when he's writing his songs.
  7. It could have been worse, I could have been born a jock.
  8. He's looking to take the season ticket money and run, tomorrows headlines by the Sun.
  9. If this story is true we could see Taylor turning up for training wearing a Sari.
  10. I wonder how long a journalist would have a job if he kept reporting in without a story?
  11. Toongate is a poor example, they didn't report news, they created it. I think we'll find that this story is the same in that they'll have created it although it could be true.
  12. I expect we'll be told that the deal has fallen through because Ashley wanted too much for the club, the media are onto a winner with this shite because even if all parties deny it the media will say it is for reasons of confidentiality.
  13. Newspapers make money from sales and advertising, if they have no stories then they have no sales. If they don't have a story then they'll invent one just so the gullible run out and buy the shite they print. I’m sure Ashley would sell if enough money was offered but we knew nothing when he bought the club and I expect that it will be the same if he sells it, we’ll know nothing until the deal has been done.
  14. So the fact that the media have come up with this story and are now perpetuating it is getting them excited, they are pathetic.
  15. Howay, own up, who was it? I've just seen it , it was posted at 01:42, who was online at that time?
  16. I've tried leaving comments on these sites before and rarely have them displayed.
  17. I read the first line about your facts which have nothing to do with this thread then read about Gordon Lee getting the highest league position for nearly 20 years, you do know that it was Richard Dinnis who got us to that position, don't you?
