And it would be stupid for us to use Wise to look at players who Keegan will not see as often as those in the Premiership.
-
At the minute he seems unable to get out of his own box.
-
My guess is that he was looking for squad fillers for the weekend.
-
I doubt many people would think pointing out the difference between a player being sold and one being given away is being pedantic.
-
Did his wife kick off in the gift shop? "Do you know who I am?!" No but she was posting on here last night
-
We didn't sell Robert, we gave him away, we almost had to do the same with Bellamy who went for less than £4 million.
-
Keegan mustn't think so or he probably wouldn't have turned up tonight.
-
He looks very confident at that level, playing reserves games at St James' can only help the younger players when they do break into the first team, it's hard to understand how he failed at Preston because he looks better than that level.
-
Probably.

We might not have had the debts now if we'd invested more when we were on our way up rather than waiting until we were going in the other direction again. Money buys you better players when you have more to offer than a high salary. What can we offer ambitious players now other than money? How do we get a player to come here rather than a team playing in Europe?
-
Honestly, the phrase "talking to the wall" applies to nobody better than you. Allardyce, a manager you wanted had funds to spend on players and he decided that the players which he brought in were the players that he wanted. Nobody told him that he couldn't spend and nobody told him that he could only buy players for a certain amount of money, he decided who came in and the quality of the players that he wanted. Mort had no option but to put the books in order, we had a loan for £45 million which had to be paid back within 60 days of the club being sold. You talk about the old board taking advantage of its fan-base, you're taking the piss. They ran up over £100 million of debt because they couldn't make the right decisions at the right time and thought Souness was the man to hand almost £50 million over to spend. This club has been going backwards since the day Souness was appointed and it's been down-hill ever since, who is to blame for that?

He had a better second half as did both teams, Carol covered a lot of ground and has a very good change of speed, he actually beat the Everton keeper to one ball which he really shouldn't have got anywhere near because of his starting position.
-
The better players were Carol who took his goals well and had a good game in general, Troisi looked good with the ball but could do with putting more effort into his game, Lua Lua also had a very good game on the left wing, he's got some speed in those little legs.
-
He came on as sub and almost scored with his first touch.
-
It was a good game, especially the 2nd half.
-
Jesus wept, are we going to dig up all of the old threads?
-
And, agreed.
-
No, I'm saying Keegan, the manager, wouldn't have had a dossier on targets, why would he want to use something which was put together by a manager who was sacked partly because his signings hadn't worked?
-
Crazy, Ashley and Mort would have been slaughtered if they had sacked Allardyce before a ball was kicked. If they had of sacked him in the summer I personally would have slaughtered them. I'm sticking up for them now, because like Shepherd when he appointed Allerdyce, they couldn't have known how badly he would do.
-
So you thought a manager who had been out of the game for 3 years would have identified transfers before coming here? That's what you are virtually saying because managers identify targets before the window, not during and Keegan in all fairness probably wasn't doing that as he wasn't in management.
-
Tell me about it, I've had to suffer 380 for 2 years, 500 for 3 years & 580 mile round trips for 3 years in the past.
-
I had cramps in my stomach when they scored, I don't know if they were physical or psychological but they hurt.

How good would it be if we put them down and saved ourselves at the same time? It probably wouldn't be possible with 3 more games but it would be one of our best derby wins and would help pay them back a bit for the League Cup penalty defeat and Play off defeat, both at home.
