  1. Remind me what that has got to do with you mentioning us missing out on Woodgate under Ashley and Mort in the same way we missed out on him under Shepherd?
  2. The use of "typical" was a reaction, I didn't expect it to turn out to be a prediction, I guess I was wrong.
  3. Different times and a totally different situation, the same “old board” also failed to get him when he chose Boro? I don't expect you to understand this or acknowledge a possible reason for it. Yawn.
  4. Did we make any bids for players in the last window?
  5. I was born on Tyneside and don't agree with your stance on supporters from outside the area, I've met some of the loyalist supporters we've had with non-Geordie accents, I travelled all over with a lot people from Yorkshire and the midlands when we were in the 2nd division, they were brilliant Newcastle fans supporting a shite team.
  6. The Barton transfer was on hold because Barton wanted a loyalty bonus of £300,000 and Man City wouldn't pay him, the transfer went through because we payed him that bonus. Check paragraph 4. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article1909844.ece
  7. Not exactly the same as Baggio mentioned so it could be a different source but get towards the end of this article. http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/sundaysun/tm_headline=given-s-injury-woe-all-my-fault-says-keegan%26method=full%26objectid=20523052%26siteid=61634-name_page.html
  8. I was wondering why he always wears a jacket, it must be to hide that jersey, thanks for the info.
  9. Have you a link to these complaints about the backing.
  10. I thought FYP stood for fixed your post, not fucked it.
  11. Some people are never satisfied, give them an inch and they'll take a mile.
  12. The only stick you'll get from me is when some of the Ultras come on here and hoy the toys out of the pram when somebody blatantly takes the piss.
  13. We figure highly in that list although getting to the winner would take some working out.
  14. So we've got it, if Ashley spends £48.1 million in 12 months and we get relegated he will be more ambitious than Shepherd was when we had our best ever CL finish, or Sir John and Shepherd when we finished 2nd twice. That sounds stupid but it's what we've been told for long enough.
  15. What did we get from Villa for Hughes? I thought Bellamy taunted Shepherd when he went to the press and said we'd got less than £4 million for him, I thought it was £3-3.5 million.
  16. I prefer both then you see the whole picture. His highest spend for one window was £39,000,000, I'll work out the net spend and edit this when I've done it.
  17. In a calendar year (2005) Souness had a spend of roughly £49.3m (Net: £30.9m)
  18. Not in one season. Souness does hold the record.
  19. I think that honour goes to Souness, if you're looking for a benchmark use him.
