I think you need to calm down, the "snide comment" as you put it was not aimed at any supporter who isn't from Newcastle, more those who may feel people need to justify why they support Newcastle, again, I wasn't suggesting that anybody was justifying it, more that some might feel they should do so.

I think the kids get a rough deal because we change managers so often, virtually all new managers pick more experienced players at first and try to get a look at the kids before throwing them in at the deep and. I'm sure our kids would do better if we had a settled manager who had seen enough of them to know what they can do. Edgar looked as if he was capable of breaking into the first team on a more regular basis but for some reason was dropped by Roeder and I'm not sure if he proved to Allardyce that he was good enough, I doubt he's given Keegan long enough to form an opinion on his suitability.

I lived down South in the late 70's and early 80's and went to every away game by train. I met the same people going to the games every week and most of them didn't know why we supported Newcastle, a few did it because a parent was from Newcastle but most had no ties with the area.

I only ever care about Newcastle, the only time I care about how others are doing is when they're around us in the league table. I support Newcastle because I was born into it, not that my parents were into football. People from other areas who support Newcastle are total mongs when they could have supported teams who have won things regularly, they deserve a medal the size of a bin lid.

I possibly have missed the point, the way I look at it is that Keegan is supposed to have a bias towards British players. I think he plays the players who he thinks are the best players in any position, regardless of where they come from.

In his last game he played Cacapa and Beye, in the game before that he played Cacapa and N'Zogbia, the game before that he played Cacapa, N'Zogbia and Rozehnal.
