I honestly think the series of games we've had since his appointment have killed any chance of a motivational boost.
-
I agree with most of that except for where we would be with Allerdyce, I don't think we would have a single point more. In some ways I wish he was still here, just so he could get the stick he deserves and suffer the shite we're having to suffer, instead of sitting at home with all those £millions.
-
Keegan is now, he's our manager.
-
I wouldn't waste my time arguing about John Terry, we've got plenty of other problems to worry about.
-
I didn't think you were having a go, I don't understand why I said 4 as I mentioned 8 a couple of weeks back.
-
My mistake, I thought it was 4.
-
I'm not sure we could repeat our early results now under Keegan, I also don't think we could repeat them now if Allardyce was still here. The only result which I think might have been different under him would have been Stoke at home in the FA Cup, I doubt we'd have scored so many goals. As for the spending, I think £12 million of what was spent could have been spent on better than Smith and Barton.
-
Like I said, he needed to sort some things out.
-
Harper actually made at least a couple of good saves, something I can't remember Given doing.
-
Do you mean like the team who has given Derby almost 50% of the 9 points they've won to date.
-
The main things Bobby had to sort was Jenas not playing like he did in his first season, a replacement for Nobby who was stupidly sold and a replacement for an ageing Speed who didn't need to be sold for a pittance. We needed to turn draws into wins, I'm sure we only lost 4 league games during the season when we finished 5th, it wasn't many.
-
Some, like me would say we didn't, I think he'd have turned us around if given the support to bring the players in that he wanted, we'll never know. Even Arsenal and Man U go through transitional periods under Wenger and Ferguson, why should we have been any different?
-
That'll have been before he got rid of our two most likely match winners, Souness shafted us and we're still paying for it.
-
I think we're as bad as we have been since getting promoted but I wouldn't just blame the one manager, Souness and Roeder both contributed to what we're going through now. At least Roeder was man enough to resign, oh wait.........................
-
I've seen that word used before, only by one person though.
-
Nothing boils my blood more than those who stopped behind to applaud 14th, probably the same ones who boo'd 5th.
-
No good, shit floats.
-
Relegation - will we or won't we? *NO FIXTURE LISTS PLEASE*
Mick replied to ChrisJbarnes's topic in Football
I still don't think we will but we lack any kind of spark if we keep playing the 11 we had out today, our lack of creativity is frightening. We need a win soon because sometimes you get into the sort of run we’re in and can’t get out of it, we need a win, no matter how we get it. -
I wouldn't have played him today, regardless of what he'd said.
-
I've got a lot of time for Ferguson and no, I doubt the other 2 would have done the same.
-
To be fair to Ferguson, he went to the BBC awards to honour Bobby so it's no surprise that Ferguson made an effort today, tramp or no tramp.
-
It's a good thing that we're doing so well we can pick out a kid for special criticism who is playing out of position, excellent.
-
I though the tramp looked OK with that tie, his badge on his jacket was shite like.
