Offer what they paid for him and hope he's home sick, it's a starting point and probably our only selling point to him.
-
He'll probably just blow the dust off one of his sleeper cell user names and come back as somebody else.
-
Agreed, he'd be a good first player in to show intent to other targets.

I love the smiley, it removes the need to reply.

It's a bit shit if pulling him off was all that stopped him from coming here.

Relegation - will we or won't we? *NO FIXTURE LISTS PLEASE*

You do understand that almost 50% of the points amassed () by Derby came from us under Allardyce. So far Derby look as if they are going to be the worst ever team in the premiership, possibly the top division since football was invented. We might end up being the only team to get beat off them and you think things have got worse since Keegan took over? -
You miss the Roeder days, class. bluelaugh.gif

I agree but would say we need possibly 4 top class players, even in they aren't regarded as top class when we get them. I wouldn't mind an unknown or two if they turn out to be as good for the club as nobby turned out to be.

Backbone ? Guts ? Determination ? What is actually missing in this team of jerks ? That was the season before last.
-
What other questions have I not answered? Was it you that asked me who I would blame if things turn to shite under Keegan? No, it was me who asked you wasn't it? Anyway back to the points which you have actually bothered to come up with. As for Fulham outspending us, try this http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=48415.msg1206382#msg1206382. Fulham have outspent us 3 times in the last 5 years, Ashley has only been here a few months and both Keegan and Allardyce both had money left to spend at the end of the transfer windows. The last board showed their ambition when they appointed Souness and Roeder, it's not all about spending.
-
I've always thought that was his best position.
-
You're spot on, not that it makes any difference.

Any progress has been on a small scale so far, it needs to be seen this weekend in what has almost become a must win game. Our problem at the minute is we almost look as if we do need a miracle, the run of games we've just come out of hasn't helped as we've played the best two teams by far, twice each. We all need a lift, the fans and players.
-
Ouch, that must have hurt.
-
That pittance was a third of our transfer spend that year, Roeder wants shot for that.
-
We let in as many away to Blackburn as we did away to Arsenal, we let in 3 at home to Liverpool and it could have been worse and we let 4 in at home to Portsmouth. We were as likely to get well beaten in these recent games under Allardyce as we have been with Keegan, we could have possibly done worse with the knock on effect of defeat after defeat.
-
Good point, they have to play a percentage of international games, we should take the FA or government to the European courts for restrictive practices, it's supposed to be one Europe. If we get nowhere then we should tell them to stick the transfer window where the sun doesn't shine.
-
Shite Villa finish above us more often than not.
-
If you will not be blaming Keegan who will you blame? You mention Allardyce complaining about the "lack of backing," I'm sure he said they weren't acting quickly enough, he also later thanked Ashley and or Mort for allowing him to spend the most money he'd ever had in 1 window, did you forget that? I wonder how Roeder felt when he was allowed to spend less than Allardyce and Roeders spending was over a longer period of time?

Good shout 2J, I'd love to see us sniffing around South America to try and unearth a future great.

I'm trying to work out what happened during that 17 minutes to make him forget. -

Or, You have to be a f****** mong not to remember about the rule now, like. The amount of hoo-har about it now, you'd think it'd be impossible to miss. -
It didn't turn out that way.

I would have liked to have seen some creativity come in, especially with Dyer and Nobby going. I wasn't too happy with Barton or Smith but could see what both could offer, I didn't want to see us get the Smith of Man U but wouldn't have minded the one who played for Leeds, I thought Barton offered little and was just like Lee Bowyer when he played here.
